Beger Partners with One Bangkok on Used Paint Can Management Project to Reduce Environmental Impact and Cut Carbon Dioxide Emissions by Over 5,600 Kilograms
Beger, a leader in eco-friendly paint innovation, has teamed up with One Bangkok, the largest integrated real estate project in Thailand, to advance sustainable development goals through a used paint can collection initiative. This project involves the proper cleaning and recycling of 3,700 kilograms of used paint cans.
Currently, the emphasis on sustainability is gaining widespread attention both in Thailand and regionally, aiming to foster collaboration among government, citizens, and leading organizations to present various pathways toward sustainability in management practices, including the introduction of new innovations and technologies that support green policies. One Bangkok has collaborated with Beger in this initiative to focus on reducing environmental impacts from plastic waste management and promoting efficient resource use. By recycling these paint cans, they can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5,600 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO2eq), marking a significant step that reflects the commitment of both organizations to create a sustainable world. For One Bangkok, this collaboration is part of its vision to be a model project for sustainability, harnessing the power of partnerships to create positive changes for the environment and communities.

Moreover, Beger is focused on producing low-carbon products that minimize carbon emissions from production (embodied carbon), while also prioritizing reducing carbon emissions from electricity use for cooling in homes or buildings after residents move in (operational carbon). As a result, throughout its operations, Beger has managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 350,000,000 kilograms of carbon, equivalent to planting more than 5,594,492 trees. Today, Beger is recognized as the first paint manufacturer in the country to promote heat-reflective paint products, playing a crucial role in the paint industry by driving environmentally conscious innovations.

In the past, Beger has emphasized both quality and technology by continuously innovating to meet market demands, especially in energy conservation and environmental protection, resulting in BegerCool becoming well-accepted in the eco-friendly paint market over the past 1-2 decades. This not only meets market demand but also aligns with government policies aimed at promoting and supporting the use of eco-friendly materials and reducing carbon, or "Green Products."

Beger is committed to developing low-carbon products to align with the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and Carbon Tax of the global market, as well as integrating innovations to create positive outcomes throughout the business supply chain. Recently, a "Net Zero Innovation & Solution Center" has been established to serve as a hub for real estate development and stakeholders in the construction industry to develop prototype projects for low-carbon businesses. Furthermore, there is a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in every process, from upstream to downstream, and using eco-friendly innovative paints to extend their impact across various industries, such as construction, to facilitate the creation of green buildings or "Low Carbon Building Design" more easily and accessibly for the Thai economy and industry, aiming to achieve a shared goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions sustainably, in line with Bayer's important mission to be "a leader in innovative paints that care for the environment."
This project is part of Beger's environmental goals, emphasizing the promotion of natural resource conservation and reducing carbon footprints through environmentally friendly innovative solutions. Beger and One Bangkok remain committed to collaborating with various sectors to create positive changes and move toward a sustainable future together.
