Wonderfruit Partners with Daikin to Elevate the Festival of Art, Music, Nature, and Sustainability into the Future
Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning technology, has partnered with Wonderfruit, a festival that brings together art, culture, music, nature, and sustainability in Thailand, to enhance the experience for visitors while supporting Wonderfruit's sustainability goals for 2024. As part of this collaboration, Daikin will install energy-efficient air conditioning units in Slow Wonder, a meticulously designed accommodation that aims to provide guests with comfort through intelligent air conditioning systems, aligning with the sustainability and innovation missions of both brands.

In 2024, Wonderfruit has set environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals focused on a circular economy and transparency, including a target to achieve zero landfill waste and a 20% reduction in waste and refuse-derived fuel (RDF). At the same time, it supports local communities by utilizing regional products and enhancing sustainability auditing and reporting transparency. Therefore, this partnership with Daikin supports the main objectives through the use of energy-efficient air conditioning technology, inverter systems, and environmentally friendly refrigerants, which align with the goals of achieving zero waste and reducing carbon emissions, thus minimizing waste and maximizing energy efficiency.

The highlight of this collaboration is “Slow Wonder,” a luxurious eco-friendly accommodation located within the Wonderfruit grounds, which combines sustainable design with comfort for guests. These accommodations are equipped with advanced air conditioning technology from Daikin to improve air quality and save energy, minimizing environmental impact. The construction of these accommodations uses materials and labor sourced from local communities, aligning with Wonderfruit's mission to support communities and sustainable resources. Additionally, this partnership reflects Daikin's global goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, emphasizing the importance of reducing carbon emissions and using energy responsibly for the planet and society.

Daisuke Murakami, Managing Director of Siam Daikin Sales, stated, "Daikin's goal goes beyond just improving air quality; we also want to care for the well-being of people and our planet. This is the core of Daikin's vision of 'Perfecting the Air.' Our collaboration with Wonderfruit merges innovation with creativity to move towards a bright and sustainable future because we believe that when technology meets initiative, the resulting power is limitless."
Montol Jira, co-founder of Wonderfruit, said, “Wonderfruit is a cultural platform that opens space for innovation and exploration of new possibilities. Daikin is a brand that develops cutting-edge technology and is committed to achieving carbon neutrality, which is crucial for us because transitioning to a sustainable society requires support from the business sector. Therefore, I am very pleased with the collaboration between Daikin and Wonderfruit.”

The collaboration between Daikin and Wonderfruit demonstrates that innovation and sustainability are not distant concepts but can be tangibly experienced through people's interactions. Integrating energy-efficient air conditioning technology into this creative space not only provides comfort for attendees celebrating art, culture, nature, and community power but also allows them to participate in the journey towards a sustainable future, serving as a model for future global events where we can all co-create and take responsibility for the world together.
