AssetWise Public Company Limited, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, announced the outstanding design works of architecture students from Kasetsart University under the project "ASW x Arch KU: Designing the Right Life with Care for Sustainable Living". The winning teams received awards in both categories, including the design of a condominium based on a real site at WisePark Minburi and a special award for sustainable waste management design within residences based on the concept "Separate-Empty-Turn" with a total prize value of 60,000 baht.

The ASW x Arch KU project is a collaboration between AssetWise and the Faculty of Architecture at Kasetsart University, providing real-world learning opportunities to enhance the potential of architecture students to meet the demands of the modern market. Over the four-month project, students honed their design skills through various activities, including special lectures, site visits to the WisePark Minburi project, and design work under expert guidance, leading to the creation of outstanding competition entries that address the needs of modern residents in line with AssetWise's WISECOLOGY and GrowGreen concepts.

Mr. Wutthiphan Wiphanpong, Vice President of Business Sustainability and Environmental Affairs at AssetWise, stated: "Throughout the four months of the ASW x Arch KU project, AssetWise is proud to have participated in special lectures to share knowledge from industry experts, as well as taking students to visit well-designed residential projects for all generations like ‘Atmoz Flow Minburi’. We concluded with a challenging task for the students to design buildings based on the understanding of every lifestyle and to design waste management areas in residences in the AssetWise style under the concept of ‘Separate-Empty-Turn’ aiming for Zero Waste to Landfill. This allowed students to apply their knowledge creatively. We are delighted to see the innovative works of the new generation. AssetWise congratulates all winners and hopes this project will prepare students for a stable future in the design industry."

Dr. Rattapoom Pakarnseri, Deputy Head of the Architecture Department at Kasetsart University, expressed: "Thank you to AssetWise for initiating this great project for new designers. It serves as a learning and competition platform that encourages students to showcase their potential, analyze the real context in terms of physical environment, and appropriately plan projects. It also encourages consideration of technology choices in construction, building systems, and material selection based on sustainability and quality of life enhancement. This project significantly helps develop students' design skills."

The Mobiz Orbit team, consisting of Ms. Chatlada Nakdee and Ms. Jenchira Sinaphiromsaran, fourth-year architecture students, won the residential building design competition, receiving a prize of 25,000 baht with their concept "Orbit". Their design stands out by twisting the building to harmonize with the surrounding context, reducing direct sunlight exposure and preventing tall buildings from obstructing views. They also created a communal area as a central hub for all generations, integrating structural knowledge, modern façade use, and building systems in line with the WISECOLOGY concept across all three aspects: Environment Friendly, Smart Living, and Sustainable Life. The team stated, "Participating in this project has been a valuable experience in our lives. This challenge was significant, but we aimed to create a condo that is not just an ordinary high-rise but a unique design that meets the functional needs of everyone in the condo, based on the brief from AssetWise."

The winner of the waste management design competition in residences is the Waste Management Separate-Empty-Turn team, consisting of Mr. Thanawit Longsom and Mr. Boonkrabphin Antalalok, fourth-year architecture students, who received a cash prize of 5,000 baht for their design aimed at reducing waste from the source. "We designed two main parts: the first part is the 'Separate' area attached to the wall for sorting plastic straws, forks, spoons, wood, and paper, along with a removable cleaning box for waste separation below. The second part is the 'Empty-Turn' area that consolidates the process to minimize time, with a channel for separating food scraps and liquids connected to the sink system, designed with a sloped plane to facilitate waste flow into the drying rack below, making waste management in the condo easier."

AssetWise is committed to continuing projects to develop the potential of the new generation to enter the real estate industry confidently, reinforcing its commitment to developing residences that enhance the quality of life for all generations under the concept of "We Build Happiness" – happiness designed for you.
