One Bangkok is Committed to Creating a Better Quality of Life for a Brighter Future at Sustainability Expo 2024, the Largest Sustainability Event in ASEAN
One Bangkok, a model green smart city real estate project located in the heart of Bangkok, developed by TCC Assets (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd., reveals one of its core visions is to prioritize and care for people (People Centric) while striving to sustainably enhance the quality of life for everyone. At the Sustainability Expo 2024, the largest sustainability event in ASEAN, under the main theme of the event "Sufficiency and Sustainability for the World," taking place from September 27 to October 6, 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Embarking on a journey to “The Heart of Bangkok,” a city built with heart, by developing green spaces within the project to increase green areas in Bangkok and provide a new living experience, inspiring everyone through art and culture while enhancing the quality of life. The event will feature special discussions on the topics “Pathways to a Sustainable Urban Future” and “Time to CHANGE: Shaping Bangkok’s Future”.
Regarding this, Mr. Worawart Srisuan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of One Bangkok, stated, “One Bangkok has continuously supported the Sustainability Expo for the fifth consecutive year. Currently, global warming is a challenging issue that the world is facing, directly impacting people's lives. Therefore, we are committed to establishing new standards to promote the development of a model city of the future, a 'Green Smart City,' equipped with innovations and smart technologies for better health and enhancing the quality of life in all dimensions. Recently, One Bangkok became the first project in Thailand to receive LEED for Neighborhood Development certification at the platinum level, as well as WiredScore and SmartScore certifications at the platinum level. We are also aiming for WELL building certification to promote the quality of life, comfort, and safety of residents and users.”
At the event, visitors can experience the One Bangkok Experiential Pavilion, which uses 360 Degree Projection Mapping Theatre techniques to present the concept of Better Quality of Life in One Bangkok, aiming to holistically enhance quality of life through various components within the project covering three dimensions.
- Physical Vitality provides facilities that promote good health for everyone, such as a pedestrian walkway designed to allow walking throughout the project within 15 minutes, covering a continuous distance of 5 kilometers, surrounded by a variety of trees lining 2.6 kilometers, allowing everyone to stroll and relax comfortably. The buildings within the project are designed to maximize natural light with an automatic lighting system, as well as high-efficiency air filtration and sterilization systems for clean, fresh air, along with noise reduction systems from outside the project.
- Mental & Social Rejuvenation enhances quality of life and well-being in social and mental aspects with over 50 rai of green space and open public areas throughout the project, such as One Bangkok Park, Parade Park, and Wireless Park, which are conducive to creating various recreational activities for social and community engagement. Additionally, it inspires creativity and aesthetic living through the Art Loop, a collection of global art and cultural programs spanning over 2 kilometers, serving as a space for learning and creativity for everyone.
- Safe & Secure Environment ensures the comfort and safety of users and residents within the project 24/7 with a District Command Center that manages various systems and oversees security within the project using over 250,000 smart sensors for maximum confidence and safety. Furthermore, the design adheres to international standards (Universal Design), including wheelchair-accessible areas and tactile paving for visually impaired individuals, as well as easy-to-understand signage throughout the project. One Bangkok will also host two special discussion panels:
- “Pathways to a Sustainable Urban Future” featuring speakers including Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, Dr. Opas Karnkawinphong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, Mr. Panot Sirivadhanabhakdi, CEO of Frasers Property Limited, and Ms. Khemapsorn Sirisukha, actress and environmental conservationist, moderated by Ms. Elizabeth Sadler Leenunchai on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at SX Grand Plenary Hall, Level G.
- “Time to CHANGE: Shaping Bangkok’s Future” featuring speakers including Mr. Worawart Srisuan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of One Bangkok, Mr. Supharat Siwapetchranat Singha Ra Na Ayutthaya, CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Thailand), and Associate Professor Dr. Niramol Serisakul, Director of the Urban Design and Development Center, specializing in urban strategy at Chulalongkorn University, moderated by Dr. Prom Udomdej, Director of the International Interdisciplinary Architecture Curriculum Office, Faculty of Architecture, Art, and Design, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at SX Talk Stage, Exhibition Hall, Level G.
