RT Thrilled! Secures Additional Work on Slope Protection Construction Project for the Dual-Track Railway Den Chai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong Worth 71.80 Million Baht
RT has taken on a new project for the Earth Work – Slope Protection Package 5 of the dual-track railway construction project from Den Chai to Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong (Contract 3) in Chiang Rai province, valued at 71.80 million baht. This project is under the authority of the State Railway of Thailand, with the CST-DC3 joint venture as the contractor. The total duration of the project is 815 days, as RT engages in both public and private sector construction projects, aiming to deliver work promptly while controlling costs, thereby recognizing revenue and enhancing profitability continuously.
Mr. Chawalit Tanomthin, CEO of Right Tunneling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in civil engineering, tunneling, and comprehensive geotechnical work, revealed that the company has accepted a new contract for the Earth Work – Slope Protection Package 5 of the dual-track railway project from Den Chai to Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong, under Contract 3 in Chiang Rai province, covering a total distance of 10.033 kilometers, valued at 71,796,972.50 baht (including VAT). The project is owned by the State Railway of Thailand, with the CST-DC3 joint venture as the contractor.
The construction contract is set to commence on September 15, 2024, and will conclude on December 9, 2025, totaling 450 days. The company has already received a letter of intent to commence work from the contractor on August 22, 2024.
“The company is moving forward to engage in quality public and private sector construction projects that reflect current cost prices, aiming to increase the value of ongoing work and ensure continuous revenue recognition, both from projects that have been extended and new bids that will arise. We are closely monitoring information, which we expect will become clearer following the annual budget act. Additionally, the company continues to progress construction according to plan, including controlling costs, materials, and labor to achieve outstanding growth in revenue and maintain a good level of profitability,” Mr. Chawalit stated.
