WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) signals a bright outlook for its business in the second half of the year, driven by increasing demand in the water and electricity sectors. The company is set to continue its investments in clean energy through innovative solutions and Green Logistics, aligning with WHA Group's investment plans.

Mr. Somkiat Mesanthasuwan, CEO of WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP), revealed that the overall business outlook for the second half of 2024 shows continuous growth. The water business is expanding due to both existing and new customers, including a project providing tap water services in the provincial waterworks area with a volume of 2.6 million cubic meters per year, and a project producing high-quality industrial water for PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, amounting to 3.5 million cubic meters per year. The company has already signed water sale contracts for both projects in May 2024.

In Vietnam, the water business has seen significant growth in sales volume, primarily driven by the increasing sales from the Doung River project, which continues to expand its customer base and service areas.

For the overall electricity business in the second half of 2024, continuous growth is expected from the first half, driven by further investments in clean energy through the development of new energy innovations and solutions. Additional contracts for clean energy projects are anticipated, along with the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations beyond the current 34 installed units, in line with WHA Group's comprehensive investment plan in Green Logistics.
