Holiday Inn Vana Nava is moving forward with a lease agreement with the State Railway of Thailand to construct a pedestrian pathway connecting the hotel to Nong Kha Station, expected to be completed and operational by October 2024. This initiative aims to facilitate guests and tourists in utilizing this connection for easier access to local attractions such as Khao Takiab Beach and Cicada Market, located just 700 meters away or about a 10-minute walk. The goal is to encourage more tourists to use the railway services, reflecting the potential of Thailand's public transportation system to stimulate year-round travel and continuously generate revenue for the Thai tourism industry in a sustainable manner.

Ms. Prawpud Lipthapallop, Executive Director of Praw Group, revealed that Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin is continuously advancing in the domestic tourism market by signing a development agreement with the State Railway of Thailand to construct a pathway connecting the hotel and Nong Kha Station. This will enhance convenience for hotel guests, allowing them to easily access local attractions with reduced travel time compared to conventional car journeys.

“This construction project is part of an infrastructure development initiative aimed at providing convenience for guests and tourists to access nearby attractions comfortably, such as Khao Takiab, Cicada Market, Wat Nong Kha, and the Khao Takiab community. In addition to enhancing the hotel’s excellent service, it will indirectly benefit the local economy by distributing income to the community and strengthening the grassroots economy of the country. Furthermore, it will provide more options and convenience for interprovincial travel by train, with travel time from Bangkok to Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan taking no more than 4 hours, reducing the reliance on personal vehicles for tourism. Guests can travel by the southern railway to Nong Kha Station and use this pathway to reach Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin immediately,”

Mr. Thomas Hen, General Manager of Holiday Inn Vana Nava, added, “The hotel will provide a shuttle service between the hotel and Nong Kha Station to shorten the distance and travel time to various attractions. Additionally, the hotel plans to offer special room packages that will include train service and accommodation together, enhancing the travel experience in Hua Hin in the near future.”

The pathway connecting Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin and Nong Kha Station has already begun construction and is expected to be completed and operational by October 2024. Ms. Prawpud emphasized, “This success reflects the potential of Thailand's public transportation system, particularly the unique and charming railway travel experience, which can continuously promote tourism throughout the year and genuinely stimulate the growth and strength of the Thai tourism economy.”
