Elephant Brand Gypsum, a leader in gypsum board products and innovative ceiling and wall systems in Thailand, is enhancing the "Community Development Gypsum Training Program," which has been continuously operated for 19 years. This initiative aims to improve important community buildings such as schools and multipurpose halls, creating tangible public benefits and giving back to society for sustainable community development. The program is set to expand nationwide in the coming year.

Mr. Anupong Rongleuangaram, Managing Director for Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar at Siam Gypsum Industry (Saraburi) Co., Ltd. stated that the Community Development Gypsum Training Program is a collaboration between Elephant Brand Gypsum and the Department of Skill Development (DSD) under the Ministry of Labor. This is one of the projects we have been committed to for 19 years, providing both theoretical and practical training to develop and enhance the skills of community craftsmen in learning effective techniques for installing ceilings, interior walls, and gypsum joint finishing according to national labor skill standards for gypsum work.

"We aim to expand the tangible success of the project, which is the development of community buildings for actual use. We have improved the ceilings and interior walls of schools and community buildings through collaboration between the Elephant Brand Gypsum team, community craftsmen, and local residents via this training program nationwide," Mr. Anupong added.

Currently, the “Community Development Gypsum Training Program” is being organized in several provinces, starting from the northern and southern regions. In the third and fourth quarters of 2024, Elephant Brand Gypsum plans to continue expanding into the northeastern region as well.

Recently, Elephant Brand Gypsum has improved buildings at educational institutions and public benefit locations, totaling 3 sites, including:

1. Wat Khao Tamon School, cafeteria and kitchen building, Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi Province.

2. Rattanaprachanuarak Multipurpose Hall, Lampang Province.

3. Non-Formal Education School, Pa Klang Subdistrict, Ban Nam Pen, Moo 1, Pa Klang Subdistrict, Pua District, Nan Province.

The improvements utilized high-quality products from Elephant Brand Gypsum, including the installation of smooth-finished ceilings with standard Elephant Brand gypsum boards, which have received carbon footprint labels, and Elephant Brand T-bar paper touch ceiling tiles, to enhance the buildings' appearance and usability.
