Pruksa organized a Demo Day under the Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA Season 2 project, revealing the successful outcomes that have positively impacted society from four social enterprises: Labmove – Agnos – Farmcare – Wongpai. The event provided an opportunity for all four teams to present their business plans to secure additional investment from Wichitpongpan Fund totaling 3 million baht, along with the chance to collaborate with Pruksa to further develop sustainable businesses. The outstanding business plan from the Wongpai team impressed the judges, winning the highest funding of up to 1.5 million baht.

Mr. Uthen Lohachitpitak, CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, stated that Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA Season 2 is a project aimed at supporting social enterprises that seek to create tangible and sustainable positive impacts on society, communities, and the environment. In this season, over 70 social enterprises applied to participate, and the committee selected four teams. Pruksa provided each team with 600,000 baht in funding and organized an Accelerate Impact program filled with knowledge to enhance their businesses in various dimensions. Additionally, experts served as mentors throughout the project, culminating in the Demo Day event where all four teams presented their business plans for further funding from the Wichitpongpan Fund.

“Currently, many social enterprises are emerging, but many entrepreneurs may lack confidence in their future and shift their focus to other businesses. Pruksa hopes that the Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA project will inspire and reinforce social entrepreneurs' confidence that they can achieve their goals, as long as they are genuinely committed to benefiting society,” Mr. Uthen remarked.

The Demo Day was held recently, featuring four social enterprises summarizing their successes throughout the project while presenting their future business plans for the committee's consideration for additional funding from the Wichitpongpan Fund. The event was honored by a panel of expert judges, including Ms. Sukulthip Keerathiphanthawong, Secretary-General of the Sustainable Business Development Association, Ms. Orphaka Wutthikhosit, Industry Manager at Google Thailand, and executives from Pruksa Holding and its subsidiaries. The summaries from the four teams included:

1. Agnos Team, developers of AI in healthcare, utilize AI to analyze symptoms and guide patients to appropriate services, helping to reduce congestion in hospitals and increase timely access to medical services. They have developed a Smart OPD Platform that allows hospitals and patients to easily access Agnos services through the hospital's LINE OA, predicting that within one year, they can save over 3.8 million baht in time and costs for patients with minor symptoms who do not need hospitalization, while also reducing losses for severe cases by approximately 280,000 baht and increasing revenue for nearby pharmacies by over 1.6 million baht.

2. Labmove Team, a home blood draw service provided by licensed medical technicians, delivers samples to the affiliated hospital, saving patients travel time and enabling access to services from home. After participating in the project, Labmove expanded its network to accommodate all patients, resulting in a 25% business growth over three months. They anticipate the following social impacts within one year:

  • Reducing transportation costs for bedridden patients by up to 5,000 cases, valued at over 12 million baht.

Additionally, it helps relatives of patients avoid taking leave, preventing a loss of income of 5.5 million baht annually, reduces travel to hospitals by over 150,000 kilometers per year, alleviates congestion from blood draw services by 40 patients daily, reduces staff working hours by a total of 3,750 hours annually, and increases patient and relative satisfaction by up to 90%.

3. Farmcare Team, developers of a Telepharmacy platform that allows community members to access quality pharmacies conveniently and affordably, based on recommendations from local pharmacists. This initiative also promotes the sustainable growth of community pharmacies. During the project, patients saved over 560,000 baht in travel costs to healthcare facilities, while nearby pharmacies increased their revenue by over 260,000 baht, with a business growth potential exceeding 150,000 baht.

4. Wongpai Team, producers of KN Biochar from agricultural waste in bamboo-growing communities, which is effective for use, environmentally friendly, and can generate carbon credits while boosting the local economy. They anticipate that within one year, they will create social, economic, and environmental impacts valued at over 2.5 million baht, while also reducing carbon dioxide emissions and mitigating PM 2.5 dust from agricultural activities. Additionally, participation in the project has contributed to the development of version 2.0 of their kiln, which helps produce wood vinegar and enhances agricultural yields beyond just Biochar and carbon credit management.

From the presentations during the Demo Day in the Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA Season 2, all social enterprises showcased their operational plans effectively, securing additional funding from the Wichitpongpan Fund. The Labmove, Agnos, and Farmcare teams each received an additional 500,000 baht, along with opportunities to further their businesses in collaboration with Vimoot, a health service within the Pruksa Holding group, while the Wongpai team received the highest additional funding of 1.5 million baht to enhance community economies, create carbon credits, and address environmental issues in the long term.
