N.C. Housing Towards ESG: Creating Value for Communities to Enhance Quality of Life, Partnering with BIG TREES for Environmental Conservation
N.C. Housing Public Company Limited, a property developer specializing in both horizontal and vertical projects, has become the first company in Thailand to receive ISO certification. The company is committed to integrating ESG principles into its business operations, recognizing the importance of environmental conservation and community support. It has established a business framework aimed at contributing to a greener community and society, enhancing livability and sustainability as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Dr. Somchao Tanthatherttham, CEO, stated that this year marks N.C.'s 30th year, and the company is moving forward with strength and stability. It has organized a green energy initiative under the theme NC Happy Green & Sustainability 2024 to raise awareness about sustainable growth. The company is implementing policies to create value for communities, making them more livable and improving the quality of life for a large customer base. The company adheres to its commitment to customers, emphasizing integrity and governance, ensuring quality and timely delivery of homes while conducting business responsibly towards the community, society, and the environment. It selects sanitary ware, materials, technologies, and practices that minimize negative impacts and manages natural resources efficiently to create long-term value and sustainability, aligning with the customer trust under the concept of N.C. knowing homes and understanding you.

This year, N.C. continues its ESG policy by promoting social activities and encouraging communities to care for the environment, contributing to better quality of life. This initiative is piloted in the large project of the Baan Fah Piyaram brand, aiming to conserve over 4,000 trees in the community. Additionally, it fosters proper tree care practices and knowledge through Big Trees, an environmental conservation organization, which collaborates and shares extensive knowledge on tree care with the Big Trees team and Tree Surgeons, who provide consultation, assessment, planning, and management teams to protect trees from various threats, including natural disasters, plant diseases, and pests, as well as proper pruning techniques to enhance community knowledge and increase green spaces within the Baan Fah Piyaram project, covering over 1,200 rai.

Mr. Somnuek Tanthatherttham, Managing Director, added that this activity is another step towards sustainability in community areas, caring for the environment and adhering to good governance principles according to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). The focus is on using resources efficiently based on circular economy principles, reducing environmental impacts, and promoting activities on the company's anniversary, CG DAY, under the theme NC Happy Green & Sustainability 2024. This initiative encourages communities to help care for trees properly, counting the number of trees in the project area to maintain greenery, along with tagging symbols of care in collaboration with the community to enhance quality of life together. Special thanks to Ms. Araya Sutabutr, founder of BIG Trees, and her team for sharing knowledge and collaborating with N.C. to promote green energy in communities and society towards sustainability.
