Finschia Foundation Appoints SEGA Singapore as Governance Member
The Finschia Foundation, a non-profit organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi and the independent successor of the LINE Blockchain's mainnet and digital assets, announced today that SEGA Singapore, a subsidiary of the global gaming giant SEGA, has joined Finschia as a governance member.
Founded in March by LINE Tech Plus, LINE's blockchain business, the Finschia Foundation aims to expand Web3 business and develop sustainable token models for Web3 users worldwide. The Finschia Governance Members comprise various companies that manage the institution's stability and develop a transparent token economy. Currently, there are 17 members, including LINE NEXT, SoftBank, CertiK, and Neopin. SEGA Singapore's membership will strengthen Finschia's governance and enhance network stability, as Finschia plans to boost its competitive capabilities by leveraging the potential of leading companies from various sectors.
As a governance member, SEGA Singapore will participate in the general management and decision-making processes of the Finschia Foundation, including overseeing the operations of the mainnet blockchain and network security as a network auditor. Additionally, SEGA and Finschia will collaborate to develop Web3 games using SEGA's popular game IPs to expand the Finschia ecosystem and promote Web3 adoption.
SEGA Singapore is a subsidiary of SEGA, a world leader in developing and publishing various types of games across multiple platforms. SEGA Singapore is responsible for developing the SEGA Group's Web3 business globally and managing marketing activities to bring the business into the Southeast Asian market.
Following the official launch of the Finschia public blockchain in December 2023, all users will be able to develop decentralized applications (dApps) using the Finschia blockchain. Finschia plans to support the growth of dApps across various sectors on a public blockchain platform that partners and users worldwide can easily access.
