Supalai Creates Goodness: Sharing Warmth with Construction Workers in Chiang Mai in the 'Warmth Sharing' Activity Year 2
Supalai Public Company Limited led a team of employees to alleviate the cold in the northern region through the 'Warmth Sharing' activity under the 'Supalai Creates Goodness' project, continuing for the second year. This initiative fosters a community of 'giving' by accepting donations of warm clothing, blankets, and gently used toys from employees and Supalai residents, sharing care with over 200 construction workers and their families at the Supalai Tuscany Valley project in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai.

Mr. Saichon Lermkhum, Director of Regional Project Operations 4, stated that last year, the company initiated the Warmth Sharing activity in Chiang Rai, inviting employees to donate warm clothing, blankets, and eyewear. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many employees contributing, which directly benefited construction workers in need, who expressed their gratitude. In 2023, the company remains committed to improving the quality of life for construction workers, their families, and children by continuing the Warmth Sharing activity for the second year, enhancing the sharing efforts in collaboration with Supalai residents in Chiang Mai. Donation boxes were set up in three projects: Supalai Tuscany Valley, Supalai Grand Ville San Kamphaeng, and Supalai Monte 2 Chiang Mai, to collect warm clothing, bags, shoes, and gently used toys and dolls. This initiative aims to create smiles, spread happiness, foster warmth, reduce inequality, and promote equality in society. Additionally, support from suppliers in Chiang Mai helped fund snacks and ice cream for everyone at the event.

Because giving creates happiness for both the giver and the receiver, the 'Warmth Sharing' activity can enhance the quality of life for 70 households, benefiting over 200 individuals and help reduce expenses by approximately 3,500 baht per family. This event provided assistance totaling 245,000 baht to construction workers' families and also helped reduce fast fashion waste, a significant environmental issue contributing to global warming, by recycling clothing for construction workers and their families, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions (Carbon Footprint) by 15,000 Kg.Co2eq. The company is ready to expand the activity zone to 'share and give' essential items to construction workers and their families across all regions.
