Kasikornbank has unveiled its long-term business growth strategy, announcing the establishment of “Kasikorn Investor Co., Ltd.” or KIV to expand financial services for retail customers by leveraging the potential of partners and banks within the KIV structure, which consists of 14 companies with a total investment value of 30 billion baht, aimed at reducing business costs and credit risk.

Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, CEO of Kasikornbank stated that KIV will play a crucial role in strengthening the bank and its partners by serving customers that the bank cannot currently reach, or the Underserved group, which currently accounts for over 49%. The business model will differ from traditional banking, offering flexibility and addressing the needs of those who are underserved. This adjustment will enhance competitive capabilities in providing financial services to retail customers and generate new revenue for the bank, resulting in higher business profits compared to self-managed banks, while ensuring continuous and sustainable growth.

Mr. Patchar Somalapha, Group Chairman of Kasikorn Investor Co., Ltd. mentioned that currently, the companies within the KIV structure consist of 14 firms with a total investment value of approximately 30 billion baht. The goal of KIV is to enhance the ability to provide financial services to retail customers by utilizing the expertise of partners in various fields, combined with the existing structure and resources of Kasikornbank, such as over 20 million customers, K PLUS, capital, data, IT, and branches. This allows KIV to better understand a diverse customer base and provide financial services that meet the needs of low-income households, small shop owners, and those without regular income, who require additional liquidity to access financial services more effectively.

For this year, the profit target for KIV across all 14 companies is set at around 900 - 1,100 million baht, with expectations of achieving profits of 4,500 - 5,000 million baht by 2026. However, KIV will operate under a personal loan and nano finance license.
