Continuing its position as the “Market Leader in Condominiums” , Origin Property Public Company Limited or ORI, a comprehensive real estate development company, has announced its plan for “Origin Infinity”, aiming for endless growth with plans to launch 22 new condominium projects nationwide, valued at over 30.37 billion baht, the highest for condominium launches in 2023. Mr. Apisit Sunthornchugkiat, CEO of Origin Condominium Co., Ltd., is one of the leaders spearheading the condominium side.

Although the main strategy focuses on expanding the business nationwide, this year will see Origin's condominium projects entering provinces outside the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) for the first time. At the same time, Origin continues to prioritize strategic locations “Near Electric Train Stations” in Bangkok and its vicinity, a key success factor that has endeared Origin's condominiums to urban dwellers of all ages, resulting in condominium sales of 9.459 billion baht in the first quarter of 2023.

“This year, we have a total of 12 condominium projects in the Bangkok and surrounding areas, valued at over 19.58 billion baht, accounting for 64% of our entire condominium portfolio. We will continue to target locations near 6 electric train lines, expanding coverage to more stations, including those already in operation such as the Green Line Extension, Blue Line, and Red Line, as well as the lines that will begin trial operations like the Yellow Line and future lines such as the Pink Line and Orange Line.”

Establishing a Stronghold on the Green Line, Covering Every Segment from CBD to Extensions

The company continues to solidify its base along the “Light Green Line” by launching condominium brands that cover almost every segment and lifestyle, from Entry-level to Luxury. Starting from the CBD area near Thonglor Station, which has a high concentration of businesspeople and expatriates, the company is introducing a new luxury condominium brand, Grand Hampton Thonglor, a hotel-serviced residence from the mega project Origin Thonglor World, to meet the demand of this group, along with an IP Program to generate returns for investors.

Meanwhile, the classic area of Phra Khanong is increasingly popular among expatriates, especially Japanese residents, making it a vibrant neighborhood surrounded by amenities and lifestyle hubs. This has led to the return of the SOHO Bangkok brand, a luxury condominium under Park Luxury, known for its prime location near Phra Khanong Station, limited units, and hotel-level services, making it a strong market contender.

In the Bangna-Samut Prakan area, where Origin has a strong presence, the company is preparing to launch the So Origin brand, a high-end condominium with Duo Space units featuring 4.2-meter high ceilings and excellent services near Bearing Station. On the other side of the extension, the company will introduce the Origin Place brand, targeting the Upper Class market with designs catering specifically to pet lovers, located near Phaholyothin 59 Station.

Expanding into Thonburi, Targeting the Blue and Red Lines Continuously

Mr. Apisit stated that after announcing its expansion into Thonburi last year, Origin is continuing to develop condominium projects along the “Blue Line” with 4 consecutive projects, including the Siriraj area, another renowned medical hub in Bangkok and an old residential area. The company is preparing to launch the So Origin condominium near Fai Chai Station, offering superior services to cater to medical personnel, along with the The Origin brand targeting the Bangkae area and Origin Place near Phasi Charoen Station, opposite Seacon Bangkae, appealing to Gen Y and Gen Z consumers looking for condominiums in the Thonburi area. Additionally, Origin is set to open The Origin at the Red Line, Bang Bhamru Station, expected to be seen by the end of this year.

Targeting the Blue Ocean: Yellow, Pink, and Orange Lines

For the Blue Ocean locations along the new electric train lines set to open soon, including the “Yellow Line”, which is a residential area with a community mall and comprehensive lifestyle amenities, the “Pink Line” at Chaeng Watthana Government Center, another large employment hub with 25,000 civil servants and personnel, and the “Orange Line” at Nomklao Station, which connects both the Yellow and Pink Lines, the company will use two main brands, Origin Place and Origin Play, as flagship brands for market penetration, featuring Duo Space units with two levels to increase usable space for residents and pet-friendly condominiums targeting pet lovers and the younger generation.

“Even though they are on the same electric train line, the demand of residents can vary significantly between stations. The Origin team has done extensive research, not only assessing the potential of locations but also delving deep to understand insights and visualize every consumer journey in each area, including what people in these neighborhoods do, their lifestyles, and their daily needs. This allows us to design functions in both the units and common areas that resonate with residents as much as possible. This is the key success factor that enables Origin's condominiums to maintain consumer loyalty across all locations,” Mr. Apisit concluded.
