CHIC has joined forces with its partner TPBI to take responsibility for society and the environment by promoting plastic waste management based on the principles of the Circular Economy. This initiative focuses on adding value through the development of furniture made from innovative recycled plastic pellets collected through the "Won" project, which is safe and features distinctive designs that meet consumer demands, reinforcing the organization's commitment to sustainable development and continuous growth.

Mr. Kijja Patmasathian, Managing Director of Chic Republic Public Company Limited, or “CHIC,” a distributor of furniture, home decor, household items, mattresses, and bedding in a large single-store format under the main brands “Chic Republic” (CHIC) and “Rina Hey” (RINA HEY), as well as imported products under the brand “Ashley,” stated, “We are very pleased to collaborate with TPBI Public Company Limited, or TPBI, a leader in comprehensive packaging production in Thailand, as a business partner to jointly promote plastic waste management by using recycled plastic pellets from the 'Won' project as components in the design and production of distinctive and safe furniture. This maximizes the utility of plastic, helps reduce waste for the world, and meets the needs of modern consumers at reasonable prices, with plans to sell through Chic Republic retail stores and online channels.”

“The company has a concept of conducting activities both internally and externally that consider the impact on society by utilizing resources available within the organization or from external sources to ensure that society can live happily. Additionally, we focus on innovative product strategies to create differentiation and expand our customer base, which has a high demand for furniture and decor products, ensuring continuous growth. Furthermore, customers who choose products containing recycled plastic from our company will also be part of sustainable environmental conservation,” Mr. Kijja added.

Mr. Somsak Borisutthanakul, Chief Executive Officer of TPBI Public Company Limited, or TPBI, stated, “As a comprehensive packaging manufacturer that is socially responsible, we have always been committed to developing our business operations as part of creating sustainability for society and the environment based on the principles of the Circular Economy. We initiated the 'Won' project five years ago, with the main mission of raising public awareness about plastic waste management and serving as a mediator to collect used stretch plastics from consumers to recycle into PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic pellets for reuse. Additionally, we have developed products from the GC Upcycling Upstyling project, such as the WonLoop Wooden Bar, an innovation that combines PCR plastic pellets from the Won project and sawdust from the furniture industry to create strong furniture components with a beautiful wood-like surface, waterproof, and safe for users, which can be further developed into various furniture forms without limits.

We are very pleased to collaborate with Chic Republic Public Company Limited, or CHIC, a business partner that is a leader in designing, producing, and distributing comprehensive furniture products with a well-known reputation and proven achievements. Most importantly, we share the same commitment to promoting and driving social and environmental responsibility in plastic waste management based on the principles of the Circular Economy.”

We are confident that the collaboration between both companies will serve as a model organization that helps drive effective and serious plastic waste management and supports cooperation across all sectors in separating used plastic waste, creating added value for products, and benefiting society, the environment, and the world in the long term.
