Bangchak Partners with SME D Bank to Support SMEs in Establishing and Expanding Gas Stations with a Fund of 25 Billion Baht
Mr. Mogul Posyapisit, Deputy Managing Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank) stated that as a state financial institution committed to continuously supporting Thai SMEs, they provide financial services alongside development to ensure strong and sustainable growth. SME D Bank is ready to offer financial support through various loans totaling over 25 billion baht, with special interest rates starting at 4.5% per year and repayment terms of up to 15 years for SMEs already operating Bangchak gas stations, as well as for businesses in retail and supply chains or those interested in investing in opening stores at Bangchak gas stations. This funding will help them expand, adapt, invest in branch expansions, or enhance liquidity. At the same time, SME D Bank will also support comprehensive development through the SME D Coach program, which provides business capacity-building programs for SME members and partners of Bangchak, such as knowledge programs on standards, packaging development, accounting, preparing to access funding sources, and franchise principles, among others.
“This collaboration with Bangchak will play a significant role in enabling the bank to support SMEs more broadly, as Bangchak has a vast network connected to many SMEs. Additionally, the location of Bangchak gas stations in community areas not only benefits partners but also extends value to surrounding communities, facilitating cash flow, income distribution, job creation, and improving the quality of life for people in the community, thereby driving the Thai economy to grow strongly and sustainably.”

Mr. Somchai Techavanich, Chief Marketing Officer of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited mentioned that Bangchak collaborates with various potential SME partners to create Bangchak gas stations that offer a wide range of high-quality products and services, providing opportunities for small operators to have sales channels in locations that reach more customers. This also meets the needs of customers of all ages under the concept of Greenovative Destination for Intergeneration. The collaboration between Bangchak and SME D Bank will make it easier for Bangchak's partners to access funding sources and reduce financial costs, which will enhance their opportunities to invest in building and expanding their businesses sustainably. In the past, Bangchak has long promoted community economic development, such as using processed products from community groups as gifts for Bangchak fuel customers to create jobs and income for Thais, contributing to a sustainable and strong Thai society.
Moreover, Bangchak and SME D Bank also plan to jointly organize a Market Place event to showcase products from selected small SMEs nationwide for sale at Bangchak gas stations and conduct business matching activities to provide opportunities for local potential small operators to open stores at Bangchak gas stations. In the future, both organizations will continue to support SMEs in various dimensions to collectively drive the Thai economy towards strong and sustainable growth.
