The "Design Perspectives x Golden Pin Salon Bangkok 2023" event has concluded, organized by the Golden Pin Design Award in collaboration with the Taiwan Design Research Institute and the Association for the Development of Arts and Crafts. The event took place at the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) in the Central Post Office building in Bang Rak, Bangkok.

The recent Design Perspectives x Golden Pin Salon Bangkok 2023 invited designers to explore design concepts under the theme “The Power of Design: How to Practice Sustainability through Design.” Experts from various design fields, both Taiwanese and Thai, who have won the Golden Pin Design Award, participated. Among them was Mom Luang Warut Vorawan, the principal architect and founder of Vin Varavarn Architects, who received the Best Design Award at the 2021 Golden Pin Design Award for his work on PANNAR, a learning center for sustainable economy and agriculture.

Also presenting were two Taiwanese designers: Ocean Ou, founder of Duolog Design LLC, who showcased his award-winning work Hibāng, which employs circular design principles, and NK Kuo, founder of Forest-Wood Archi-Tect and Director of Timber Tectonic at Curvink Architects, who is also a faculty member at TKU's architecture department and teaches at the Design+Build Forest Architecture Studio, focusing on using timber as a primary construction material.

The event also collaborated with Ideathon and featured Khun Sanitas Praditthasanee, founder of "Sanitas Studio," a landscape architecture studio and contemporary artist with numerous awards in architecture and art, who inspired attendees with design concepts that envision the future of 2040.

The Golden Pin Salon will tour to various countries, with Malaysia being the next stop. Designers interested in participating can follow updates on the Golden Pin Design Award Facebook page to not miss future opportunities.
