Government Housing Bank (GHB) is catering to aspiring homeowners by organizing the first second-hand home auction of the year on April 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The auction features over 7,000 selected second-hand homes from GHB across the country, with special discounts of up to 50% off the current appraised prices. Bidding starts at just 40,000 Baht. Additionally, winners will receive the opportunity for a low-interest home loan for up to 24 months.

Mr. Kritsana Sesavej, a board member and acting managing director of GHB, revealed that in 2022, GHB successfully sold over 4 billion Baht worth of second-hand homes through various channels. This reflects the effectiveness of their low-interest loan promotions, significant discounts, and numerous special auction privileges, meeting the needs of customers seeking quality housing at reasonable prices and suitable locations. He is confident that in 2023, GHB's second-hand homes will remain an attractive option, with sales projected to exceed 4.5 billion Baht as targeted.

Thus, GHB, as a state financial institution with the mission of “enabling Thai people to own homes,” is organizing the first second-hand home auction of 2023 on April 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The auction will feature over 7,000 quality second-hand homes in prime locations across the country, including single houses, townhouses, condominiums, commercial buildings, and vacant land, with special discounts of up to 50% off the current appraised prices. There are 1,088 properties in Bangkok and surrounding areas, with bidding starting as low as 40,000 Baht. Notable properties include a condominium unit in the Plathong 52 project, 4th floor of a 4-story building, with an area of 26.25 square meters in Mueang, Pathum Thani. A highlighted property is a 2-story single house in the Patride Avenue project, Pathum Thani, with an area of 99.9 square wah, starting at 3,225,000 Baht, conveniently located near expressway access and various amenities like shopping malls and hospitals.

In the regions, over 6,500 properties will be auctioned, with bidding starting as low as 55,000 Baht, including vacant land in the Kham Pom project, with an area of 60 square wah in Phra Yuen, Khon Kaen. A notable property is a 2-story townhouse with an area of 24 square wah in Mueang Krabi, starting at 1,530,000 Baht, situated in the city center with convenient access to multiple routes.

Winners must place a security deposit of 10,000 Baht for each property, except for properties with a bidding price of 10 million Baht or more, which require a 100,000 Baht deposit. Contracts for sale must be signed between April 24 and May 10, 2023. Additionally, winners will have the right to a low-interest home loan for up to 24 months (conditions apply as per bank regulations).

Those bidding on properties in Bangkok and surrounding areas can participate at the legal hall, Building 2, 1st floor, GHB headquarters. Properties in the regions will be auctioned at the respective branch where the property is located.

Interested participants can register for the auction starting at 8:00 AM, with bidding commencing at 10:00 AM.
