Singha Estate Wins Thailand’s Most Admired Company Award in Corporate Social Responsibility from BrandAge
Singha Estate has received the Thailand’s Most Admired Company award in the category of “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” in the real estate sector, based on the 2022-2023 Thailand’s Most Admired Company survey conducted by BrandAge magazine. This year, we ranked in the TOP 3 among real estate companies in Thailand.
Ms. Thitima Rungkwansiriroj, Chief Executive Officer of Singha Estate Public Company Limited, stated that receiving this prestigious award reflects the commitment of everyone in our organization, who consistently strives to deliver value to Thai society. It is a source of pride for us, alongside our parent company, Singha Corporation Limited, which has continuously received the Best Corporate CSR award. Although Singha Estate is still a relatively new company entering its 9th year of operation, we have achieved rapid and stable growth due to our consistently strong performance. This award further guarantees our commitment to the mission of our parent company since the beginning of our business, to continue our social responsibility efforts while providing value to all stakeholders and creating a better society for the Thai people.

In line with our long-term business strategy, Singha Estate has set goals to oversee our operations throughout the business chain under the vision of “Sustainable Diversity – creating balanced diversity for sustainable growth.” Our main goals are divided into three areas:
1. Creating a Low Carbon Society
Singha Estate is committed to becoming a carbon-neutral organization by 2030, with a plan to reduce carbon emissions by 5% annually while replacing fossil fuels with clean energy technologies as much as possible. For example, we are installing solar panels in hotel projects and aim to maintain carbon-absorbing areas at a ratio of 1:1 with construction areas, targeting 1 million square meters within 10 years. We also collaborated with partners to implement a reforestation project at Singha Park in 2021. Additionally, we plan to create a livable community called “S District” in the area where our company’s office buildings are located, in partnership with others to enhance the quality of life for urban residents.
2. Conserving Biodiversity in Key Biodiversity Areas
For the hotel business managed by SHR, a subsidiary of Singha Estate, we have established projects to conserve natural areas around our projects, including creating learning centers to raise awareness and share knowledge about environmental conservation with all stakeholders in the area.
Since the company’s inception and entering its 9th year, the marine wildlife conservation project by Singha has had the opportunity to support various global and national partner projects, such as the marine debris project with Parley at Crossroads Maldives and the marine and mangrove learning center project at SAii Phi Phi Hotel in collaboration with the National Park and Kasetsart University.
In 2022, 21 species of rare marine animals listed on the IUCN Red List, ranging from “Vulnerable” to “Critically Endangered,” were surveyed in the project area, all found within the biodiversity conservation project named “SeaYouTomorrow.”
3. Promoting Racial Diversity and Building an Inclusive Society
Singha Estate operates diverse businesses across multiple countries and employs staff from various nationalities and languages working together as one team. Therefore, the company adheres to international human rights standards in managing human resources to maintain equality, develop skills, and create opportunities for all employees to generate sustainable income while respecting the culture, ethnicity, and religion of the local communities where we operate. We also oversee our partners and suppliers throughout the business chain under governance principles.
Additionally, Singha Estate places great importance on continuously supporting sports for people with disabilities. In the past, we have supported the Boccia athlete training center and provided scholarships to encourage Thai national athletes.
“Continuing our mission in social responsibility requires clear vision from management. Everyone must share the same understanding and goal, from the board level to supervisors, to ensure employees understand that the business is moving in the same direction. The challenge in the real estate business is that it requires high investment and faces intense competition, which can lead to fluctuations in performance. Therefore, we must create a balance between generating profits and addressing sustainability issues simultaneously, considering the entire value chain to find where the give and take lies, allowing us to grow our business alongside social and environmental sustainability,” concluded Ms. Thitima.
