Yesterday (April 3, 2023) at the Thana Ratchat Hall, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) building, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of TAT, announced the launch of the 'Amazing Thailand NFTs Season 2' project, building on the concept of From NFT to Trip to create meaningful and valuable travel experiences for tourists, focusing on the expat community to participate in collecting NFT art from April 3 to 30.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn stated that in the 2023 Thailand tourism year, TAT aims to deliver meaningful and valuable travel experiences (Meaningful Travel) to both Thai and foreign tourists by organizing the Amazing Thailand NFTs Season 2 project, which leverages innovation and digital technology as tools to promote tourism. The concept of From NFT to Trip integrates NFT art with tourist attractions. This event will specifically target the expat community living in Thailand, a group with high spending potential for travel and tourism, encouraging them to embark on new experiences throughout Thailand while collecting NFT art to stimulate travel during the upcoming Songkran holiday.

Tourists can visit 20 locations across 5 regions of the country to collect NFT art, including: 1. Promthep Cape, Phuket 2. Old Town, Phuket 3. Mai Khao Beach, Phuket 4. Khao Tapu, Phang Nga 5. Tha Pae Gate, Chiang Mai 6. Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai 7. Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai 8. Sukhothai Historical Park, Sukhothai 9. Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok 10. Mahanakhon Tower, Bangkok 11. Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok 12. Hua Hin Railway Station, Prachuap Khiri Khan 13. Bridge over the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi 14. Amphawa Floating Market, Samut Songkhram 15. Laem Bali Hai Pier, Chonburi 16. Sanctuary of Truth, Chonburi 17. Laem Ngob Lighthouse, Trat 18. Elephant World Project, Surin 19. Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Prao Temple, Ubon Ratchathani 20. Wat Roi Phra Phutthabat Phu Mon Rom, Mukdahan. Additionally, participants can check in to receive NFT art at 22 airports nationwide.

Participants will receive randomly generated NFTs of tourist attractions based on the location of each airport in different regions. The NFT art is created by Riety Studio, featuring 1,200 unique polaroid designs for each location, totaling 24,000 pieces, categorized into two levels: Normal and Rare. The Rare level will stand out with the name of the location and province stamped on the NFT to enhance its uniqueness and memorability.

Tourists can participate in the activity and collect NFTs from April 3 to 30, 2023, through the YAKS application (available for both Android and iOS). They will receive their first NFT art piece immediately upon first-time registration, and subsequent pieces when checking in within a 2-kilometer radius of designated tourist sites. Participants collecting NFT art will enjoy special benefits from partners to enhance their travel and lifestyle experiences, such as discounts on flight tickets, food and beverage costs, and hotel accommodations. Expats will receive additional special benefits, such as a 50% discount on entry fees to Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram and Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhlaram, free entry to Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan, Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, and Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram Ratchaworawihan, among others. Furthermore, the more NFT art pieces collected, the higher the level of benefits received, which can be utilized from April 3 to July 31, 2023.
