RT collaborates with Chiang Mai University to support the development of knowledge and innovations in tunnel construction technology, rail transportation systems, and large electric vehicle systems within tunnels for the Advanced Railway Civil and Foundation Engineering Center. Mr. Chawalit Thanomthin, CEO of Right Tunneling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in civil engineering and geotechnical engineering, announced that the company has signed a memorandum of understanding for academic collaboration with Chiang Mai University to develop academic knowledge and construction technology for the Advanced Railway Civil and Foundation Engineering Center at Chiang Mai University (CMU-RailCFC). This aims to enhance personnel development in the industry and establish innovation standards recognized nationally and internationally.

It represents an extension of our knowledge and expertise in civil engineering and geotechnical engineering to the Advanced Railway Civil and Foundation Engineering Center, aiming to become a leader in the construction industry, particularly in railway tunnel infrastructure and the development of large electric vehicle systems for tunnel construction, as well as for commercial use. The development of electric railway systems is part of the company’s future operations, which will help reduce pollution in construction areas, thereby improving the quality of life for personnel and construction workers sustainably. In this collaboration, the company will jointly develop educational technology, research, and important testing data in civil engineering related to construction technology and railway transport technologies, as well as railway tunneling infrastructure for classroom learning. Additionally, it will support activities and develop a research and development center for large electric vehicle systems for use in the construction industry, particularly in tunnel construction.
