Pruksa Upholds ESG Principles in Social Dimensions Towards Sustainable Development Goals, Continuing the 'Caring Homes for People with Disabilities' Project into Its 4th Year
Pruksa continues the 'Caring Homes for People with Disabilities by Pruksa' project in its 4th year in collaboration with various sectors, improving new homes for people with disabilities in rural areas to enhance their quality of life, create opportunities, and ensure equal access to housing. This initiative also promotes employment and income generation for people with disabilities, aiming for sustainable quality of life.

Ms. Angkana Likitjanyakul, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Marketing at Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited stated that Pruksa views sustainability in every aspect of business development, integrating the three pillars of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) into all policies and operations. Particularly in the social dimension, under the concept of 'Heart to Society', we believe that all sectors can share their expertise to collaboratively create a society where all groups coexist equally, with rights and dignity as human beings, enabling them to live and engage in social activities on an equal footing.
With expertise in Thailand's leading real estate business, Pruksa aims for every Thai citizen to have the opportunity to own a home and enjoy a good quality of life. The 'Caring Homes for People with Disabilities by Pruksa' project was initiated as part of Pruksa's operations, clearly reflecting its ESG policy through continuous commitment and action to elevate social quality towards sustainable development goals.
“People with disabilities, whether in vision, mobility, or other areas, face challenges in their daily lives. Often, their homes are not safe or suitable for living. Therefore, when it comes to housing, we leverage our expertise in building and designing homes that cater to the needs of people with disabilities. This project not only provides them with new homes but also enhances their living conditions, allowing them to be more self-sufficient and live more comfortably. We also collaborate with the local Social Development and Human Security Office to assist capable individuals with disabilities in finding employment, creating sustainable income for their lives,” Ms. Angkana added.

The 'Caring Homes for People with Disabilities by Pruksa' project began in 2019 in Khon Kaen province and has continued for three years. In 2021, the third year of the project, the initiative expanded to assist people with disabilities in Chiang Mai province. For 2022, Pruksa continues this project into its fourth year in rural areas of Khon Kaen once again.
A better society comes from the cooperation of all parties, just as the success of the 'Caring Homes for People with Disabilities by Pruksa' project stems from collaboration among various sectors to maximize the benefits of this initiative. This includes partnerships with government agencies, private sectors, and community leaders, as well as with Wimut Hospital, on behalf of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, along with network partners such as the Social Innovation Foundation, Sirindhorn Hospital in Khon Kaen, and local government agencies in Khon Kaen, including the Khon Kaen Provincial Office, the Social Development and Human Security Office, district offices, and local administrative organizations.
They collaborate in collecting data on the living conditions of people with disabilities, identifying issues, and prioritizing assistance in building and renovating homes for people with disabilities in rural areas, ensuring they have a comfortable living environment and opportunities for employment. This represents a chance for equality in homeownership and improved quality of life.
Pruksa's approach to sustainable development in the social dimension, beyond caring for the surrounding community, also focuses on internal organizational social responsibility. The company has an open policy for employing people with disabilities, granting rights, opportunities, and equality for all employees to develop themselves for advancement, including actively listening to feedback to support effective working methods in a diverse environment.
