MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited) participated in showcasing innovative works and technologies of the Thai real estate industry as a pioneer in innovation for sustainable well-being for all lives. The company is committed to initiating, inventing, developing, and sharing knowledge and innovations to bring happiness and create good well-being for all lives on Earth.

Mr. Wisit Malaisirirat, Chief Executive Officer of MQDC stated that during the ‘APEC 2022 Thailand’ conference, MQDC presented concepts and knowledge that represent the core principles of its business and academic activities under the concept of ‘Pioneering in Sustainnovation for All Well-being’. This initiative aims to continuously create new innovations for sustainable well-being for all lives. The exhibition booth consists of three main zones under the themes Embrace the Next Generation Sustainability, Possible Future, and Sustainnovation "Pioneering in Sustainnovation for all well-being". Visitors will learn about potential future scenarios that impact the lifestyles and well-being of humans, animals, and nature, as well as solutions and ways of living in the future that all lives desire for harmonious coexistence (Decentralization Resilience & Biodiversity Standard). This reinforces MQDC's position as a leader in sustainable innovation and aligns with the APEC conference theme “Open Connect Balance”.

“As MQDC has been part of the APEC conference hosted in Thailand for the first time in 20 years, we feel honored to have the opportunity to be part of this event. We see it as a great opportunity to promote MQDC's stance and the various knowledge we have researched and developed through our two research centers: FutureTales Lab and Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) to the international public. Visitors can explore MQDC's booth and exchange and share the aforementioned knowledge during the period from November 14-19, 2022, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center,” Mr. Wisit added.

MQDC integrates technology with the concept of sustainable coexistence through a standardized working process according to MQDC's Standard of Excellence, which includes:

  • Process: The steps and processes of developing residential projects that adhere to sustainability principles, ensuring that all components do not impact the environment, society, and surrounding communities, while also managing budgets for maximum efficiency.
  • Product: Design standards for projects and innovations that have been studied and researched to enhance the quality of life for residents, communities, and surrounding living beings and nature, through designs that promote happiness for all ages based on behavioral studies, the use of health-promoting materials, energy-reducing systems, and construction processes that minimize environmental impact and carbon emissions to help mitigate global warming.
  • Service: Service standards designed based on daily life needs to create happiness, provide comfort, and meet the high-quality living requirements of residents and communities.
  • Planet: Standards for energy and environmental conservation that prioritize all lives, including humans, animals, and nature, with in-depth studies on biodiversity and the establishment of a Biodiversity Standard for the world’s first residential project to create a complete ecosystem and support sustainable quality of life for all lives on Earth.

MQDC has established two research centers: the Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) and FutureTales Lab to develop research works and technological innovations that enhance quality of life, society, and the environment, while also disseminating in-depth knowledge from research to the public to benefit communities, society, and the nation for improved quality of life.

RISC by MQDC aims to focus on research and innovation in five main areas:

  1. Plants & Biodiversity: Studying biodiversity and harnessing the potential of nature with technology for sustainable benefits.
  2. Air Quality: Investigating factors that contribute to good air quality both inside and outside buildings.
  3. Happiness Science: Studying behaviors and psychology, as well as brain functions to create happiness through science.
  4. Materials & Resources: Researching environmentally friendly construction materials that are safe for the health of building users and reduce global carbon emissions with future technologies.
  5. Resilience: Studying problems and risks from global imbalances for adaptation, survival, and growth.

FutureTales Lab by MQDC focuses on studying, analyzing, and collecting important data for the future using future forecasting tools to reflect the aspects of living, working, learning, leisure, transportation, and sustainability contexts, while creating a collaboration platform with national and international futurists from government agencies, private sectors, educational institutions, and various communities to disseminate in-depth information and new ideas in various fields to create a better future for humanity.
