SME D Bank Partners with Thailand Post to Launch 'COD Loan' for Online Sellers with Interest Rate Starting at 1.05%
SME D Bank has teamed up with Thailand Post to introduce the “COD Loan from Thailand Post” featuring a low interest rate starting at 1.05%. This initiative aims to support online sellers by providing easy access to loans without the need for documentation, collateral, or personal guarantees, allowing for quick cash flow to manage their businesses and boost sales.

Ms. Narathnaree Ratpat, Managing Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank), stated that online sales through Cash on Delivery (COD) are becoming increasingly popular as they enhance customer confidence and facilitate purchasing decisions. This also opens up opportunities for merchants to reach new customers who prefer not to pay online. Therefore, SME D Bank has collaborated with Thailand Post to launch the “COD Loan for Online Sellers” with a credit limit of 300 million baht to support SMEs with online stores in enhancing their liquidity and managing their businesses effectively through the COD system, which will help increase sales and revenue growth.
The key features include the ability to borrow as both individuals and legal entities, with a maximum loan amount of 300,000 baht per person and a decreasing interest rate starting at just 1.05% per month. Importantly, the loan process is easy and funds are received quickly.
Applications can be made through Wallet@POST with sales via Thailand Post's COD service, without the need for documentation, collateral, or personal guarantees. Loan applications are open from today until June 30, 2023, or until the funds are fully allocated. Additionally, there is a special promotion! The first 300 approved loan applicants will receive a free 300 baht LOTUS’s gift voucher.
Dr. Danan Suphathpan, CEO of Thailand Post, mentioned that the COD service has been continuously growing every year, with a 25% increase in COD shipments in 2022. It is expected to rise further during the New Year festival when many gifts are exchanged. Online sellers often require working capital for their businesses, but applying for loans can be challenging due to incomplete financial documentation.
This is why Thailand Post has partnered with banks and financial institutions to provide reliable access to funding sources, with a straightforward loan application process. This collaboration with SME D Bank aims to offer the “COD Loan from Thailand Post,” particularly for those with consistent COD service usage, using this data as a criterion for loan approval, thereby facilitating COD users.
