WHA Industrial Development Public Company Limited, part of WHA Group, the leading provider of comprehensive logistics solutions, industrial estates, utilities, electricity, and digital platforms in Thailand, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Quang Nam Economic and Industrial Zone Authority to develop the WHA Smart Eco Industrial Zone in Vietnam, covering an area of approximately 400 hectares in Quang Nam Province, located between Da Nang Province (to the north) and Quang Ngai Province (to the south).

According to the MoU, the Quang Nam Economic and Industrial Zone Authority will support WHA Industrial Development Public Company Limited in obtaining investment policy approvals and various licenses for this project in accordance with Vietnamese law. The WHA Smart Eco Industrial Zone – Quang Nam benefits from its central location in the Central region, encompassing both Da Nang and Quang Ngai provinces.

Additionally, it boasts excellent air, sea, and road infrastructure, allowing connectivity to Da Nang International Airport and numerous direct flights to South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, and Thailand. The Chu Lai International Airport, Da Nang deep-sea port, and modern highways connect the project area to Da Nang in under an hour. Quang Nam Province has a large labor force with a population of 1.5 million, and the automotive and electronics sectors are existing foundational industries. With the unique living environment of Quang Nam, along with Da Nang and Hoi An, the province is well-positioned to attract local and foreign labor. This future industrial zone is suitable for high-tech and environmentally friendly factories, including those in the automotive, machinery, electrical, electronics, telecommunications, medical, and logistics sectors, with construction expected to begin in 2024.
