Origin Achieves Over 29 Billion Baht in Pre-sales in the First 9 Months of 2022, Surpassing 84% of Annual Target; Plans to Launch 13 New Projects by Year-End to Boost Sales to All-Time High
Origin Property showcases impressive sales performance with over 29.398 billion baht in the first nine months of 2022, representing 84% of its annual target. Following Q3 2022, the company recorded a remarkable 11.626 billion baht in sales, setting a new quarterly pre-sale record since its establishment. This success builds on the achievements of the Park Origin brand in the heart of Thonglor, while the So Origin, Origin Plug & Play, and Brixton brands are gaining momentum, reinforcing its position as the market leader in condominiums for Gen Y and Gen Z. In Q4 2022, the company plans to launch 13 new projects worth over 14.95 billion baht, confident that annual sales will reach an all-time high of 35 billion baht as targeted.

Mr. Pirapong Jaroonaek, CEO of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), a comprehensive real estate developer, revealed that in the first nine months of 2022 (January-September), the company achieved cumulative sales from housing and condominium projects of over 29.398 billion baht, reflecting a growth of approximately 28% compared to the same period last year, accounting for about 84% of the annual target set at 35 billion baht. This includes 27% from housing projects and 73% from condominiums. In terms of project status, 48% of sales came from ready-to-move projects, while 52% were from projects newly launched or under construction.

The easing of the COVID-19 situation has continuously improved consumer spending. Additionally, new projects launched this year, located near the BTS line and close to job centers, educational institutions, and affluent communities in Bangkok, the surrounding areas, and the EEC, have been developed to meet the lifestyle needs of the new Gen Y and Gen Z. Coupled with ongoing marketing activities targeting consumers in the ready-to-move condominium segment, such as the "Mission to Close Deals" campaign, we have seen strong sales from both new and existing projects. In Q3 2022, we achieved sales of over 11.626 billion baht, marking a new high for the quarter since the company's inception,” said Mr. Pirapong.
Brands that received significant positive responses in the first nine months include Origin Plug & Play, targeting first-jobbers and Gen Z, and Brixton, which focuses on affordable niche markets. The integration of appealing selling points, such as the Pet Lover Condo concept and Duo Space rooms with 4.2-meter high ceilings, has resulted in several projects under these two brands launched earlier this year achieving a take-up rate of over 80%. Additionally, two newly launched projects in 2022, So Origin Kaset and Brixton Campus Bangsaen, sold out within the first half of the year, reflecting the strength and success of Origin Property as a market leader in condominiums for Gen Y and Gen Z, alongside the luxury brand Park Origin Thonglor.
Mr. Pirapong further stated that in Q4 2022, the real estate business is expected to return to a high season status similar to pre-COVID-19 levels, with a competitive landscape featuring numerous new project launches and ongoing marketing efforts due to a significant recovery in purchasing power. Meanwhile, development costs have not increased significantly, and infrastructure development, particularly several new BTS lines, has progressed well.
“In a situation where many companies are launching numerous projects, the Key Success Factor for the final stretch of this year will be selecting the right segments, pricing, and locations. Origin continues to prioritize the development of affordable housing projects in new BTS line areas and the EEC, where demand is high but competition is still limited. At the same time, we are gradually launching projects in other high-potential segments,” Mr. Pirapong added.
Moreover, the company plans to launch a total of 13 new projects in Q4 2022, with a combined project value of 14.95 billion baht, including 7 condominium projects worth 8.6 billion baht and 6 housing projects worth 6.35 billion baht. The company is confident that these projects will receive a positive response from consumers and generate strong sales in the final stretch, leading to annual sales exceeding 35 billion baht and achieving an all-time high as targeted.
