Denso Group Thailand, a global automotive parts manufacturer, has launched environmentally friendly manufacturing innovations that prioritize user safety, in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The company aims to drive towards a better future under the framework of sustainable development for the global community, with the primary goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.

Naoto Inuzuka, CEO and Managing Director of Denso International Asia Co., Ltd. stated, “I would like to thank all stakeholders for their support that has allowed Denso to be a part of the automotive industry's development from the past to the present, standing as a leader in the automotive industry alongside Thai society. Over the past 50 years, Denso has operated with a focus on the environment, safety, and the comfort of people, aiming to use technology to create a modern society where people, vehicles, and the environment coexist harmoniously and sustainably.”

“On this 50th anniversary, it is a great opportunity for Denso to announce a new vision, transitioning from five decades as a world-class automotive parts manufacturer to ‘a leader driving towards a better future for the global community sustainably’ under the framework of sustainable development goals (SDGs),” to achieve Denso's three main goals in the Asia region: carbon neutrality, future-oriented manufacturing, and addressing social issues through Denso's technology.

Dr. Teerawat Limpibanthong, President of Siam Denso Manufacturing Co., Ltd. expressed gratitude to Denso's supporters and announced the launch of environmentally friendly manufacturing innovations that prioritize user safety under the concept of Lean and Clean, which aims to reduce waste from the entire manufacturing process while improving production efficiency, focusing on energy reduction and promoting renewable energy production, alongside effective personnel management to build a foundation for Thailand 4.0 and Carbon Neutrality simultaneously. This will be a game changer that not only keeps Denso at the forefront of automotive parts manufacturing technology but also helps address climate change, a major concern for the global community, as Denso aims to lead the drive towards a better sustainable future through business development aligned with the following SDGs:

1. Environmental Aspect

Focus on developing environmentally friendly manufacturing technologies to achieve carbon neutrality throughout the product life cycle through industrial solutions, such as utilizing renewable energy in production lines, designing machinery under the concept of 1/N, which involves reducing machine size and developing technologies to lower energy consumption and heat radiation, as well as enhancing the capability to capture and store carbon dioxide from production lines.

2. Economic and Social Aspect

Increase investment and technology transfer from Japan to Thailand, as well as promote personnel development through cooperation projects between the Japanese and Thai governments, including developing the skills of personnel in designing and installing automated production systems in both hardware and software in the industry (System Integrator or SI). Additionally, there will be training programs for instructors to support plans to enhance the capabilities of the robotics and automation industry.
