Supalai Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Department of Forestry, has provided green spaces for the residents of Ban Khok Pluang community in Chakkarat District, Nakhon Ratchasima. They invited executives, suppliers, media, and employees to participate in planting 2,000 trees of various species to expand the forest area by 10 rai under the project “Supalai by Care the Wild,” with a goal to reduce carbon footprint by 25% within 3 years.


Mr. Traitecha Tangmattatham, Managing Director of Supalai Public Company Limited, revealed that over the years, the company has conducted activities focused on social responsibility (CSR) alongside its business operations. Moving forward, all activities will fall under the project name “Supalai Creates Goodness.” For 33 years, the company has been committed to building quality homes for customers and believes that with good intentions, it can drive and create significant value in society, such as fostering a better environment for the world, providing quality education for youth, and contributing to a better society for the nation, alongside good corporate governance through honest and responsible business practices.

Currently, the global energy and climate crisis affects all lives. Climate change leading to global warming is an issue that requires collective efforts from all countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and carbon dioxide (CO2) as much as possible. In 2022, Supalai Public Company Limited set a goal to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% within 3 years and recognizes the importance of environmental care alongside its residential development business. In Nakhon Ratchasima, where the company has been operating for over 8 years, it has joined the project “Supalai by Care The Wild” with partners including the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Department of Forestry to restore community forests at Ban Khok Pluang, Chakkarat District, Nakhon Ratchasima.

The company invited executives, employees, and partners from various companies, including Thamsorn Group, SCG, TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Siam Sanitary Ware Company Limited, media representatives, and local residents to plant 2,000 trees in a 10-rai community forest area. The residents of Ban Khok Pluang play a crucial role in preserving the forest, ensuring its survival and sustainable growth. Additionally, the community can utilize this forest as a source of livelihood, as it will be rich in both timber and edible plants, such as teak, mango, and other species, benefiting the economy, preserving the ecosystem, and promoting sustainable community development for decades to come.

Mr. Amnuay Jiramahapoka, Assistant Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, stated that global warming is a significant issue that cannot be resolved by a single individual; it requires cooperation from all sectors. Supalai Public Company Limited, listed on the Stock Exchange for over 30 years, has a strong financial standing and management that prioritizes governance and sustainable growth (ESG). The company has consistently contributed to social responsibility, and this tree-planting initiative is part of a collective effort to create value and benefits for the forest area of the Khok Pluang community.

Ms. Nuntana Boonyanun, Director of the Community Forest Management Office, Department of Forestry, expressed gratitude for the Care The Wild project, which serves as a platform for fundraising from the business sector to plant and protect forests, creating green spaces for Thailand. She thanked Supalai Public Company Limited for supporting tree planting and recognizing the importance of the Department of Forestry in coordinating community efforts to plant trees in this community forest. The Ban Khok Pluang community is passionate about the forest and is committed to preserving the community forest. This community will protect and nurture the trees for the next 10 years, and in the future, this forest will benefit the community as a food source, reduce expenses, increase income, and create a sustainable economy, linking to the BCG model. This forest will also help maintain ecological balance, passing on natural resources and a healthy environment as a natural heritage for future generations of Thais.

Mr. Chatree Phetnaok, the village head of Moo 11 and Chairman of the Khok Pluang Community Forest Committee, revealed that previously, the Khok Pluang community area faced significant deforestation for over 10 years. In 2009, the residents fought to reclaim the forest from investors and began replanting efforts, nurturing the area to increase green spaces. The support from both government and private sectors has strengthened the community's commitment to sustainably creating forest areas for the residents of Khok Pluang.
