1. Simple Waste Separation Methods in Condominiums That Truly Help the Planet

Separating waste types within your living space can also help reduce waste. For pet-friendly waste disposal in condominiums, it is recommended to separate waste into 5 categories:

  • Recyclable Waste is divided into “sellable waste” and “donatable waste.” Sellable waste includes clear plastic (PET) with recycling symbols 2 and 5, aluminum cans, glass, and paper. Donatable waste includes clean plastic bags and bubble wrap, which can be sent to the “Worn” project at plastic collection points in shopping malls.   • Non-Recyclable Waste is a major problem causing contaminated waste piles on our planet. Major Development recommends proper separation, such as orphaned waste like snack wrappers, which can be collected and sent for energy production as an alternative to coal. Additionally, pet food wrappers can be sent to the “Green Road” project to create adorable cat-shaped recycled paving blocks.
  • Organic Waste includes food scraps, vegetables, fruits, and banana leaves. It is crucial not to mix these with other waste, as it can lead to contamination and complicate disposal. This type of waste can be composted to produce high-quality soil or fertilizer. Anyone who can separate this waste will undoubtedly make our world a better place!
  • Pet Waste, such as animal droppings, cat litter, and dog training pads, should be collected in a trash bag filled to no more than 2/3 full, tightly sealed, and disposed of in the designated black trash bins provided by the condominium.
  • Infectious and Hazardous Waste should be separated into specific bags, such as used face masks, rubber gloves, and ATK test kits, which should be placed in red trash bins. Hazardous waste, such as batteries, light bulbs, gas cans, and spray cans, must also be disposed of separately.

2. New Normal Waste Management Methods That Truly Reduce Waste

  • Waste from Food Delivery generates a lot of waste, such as carry bags, soup bags, rubber bands, and food containers. All of these are Recyclable Waste that can be donated, such as clear plastic food containers, which can be sent to eco-friendly organizations like Qualy Design, the Plastic Back Home project, or the Orphaned Waste project.
  • Waste from Online Shopping, such as packaging boxes and cardboard, should be sent for donation to Thailand Post to participate in recycling efforts to create tables and chairs for schools. Other waste, like bubble wrap and plastic bags, can be donated to the “Worn” project, while non-recyclable orphaned waste should be sent for energy production as an alternative to coal.

3. Clearing Out Your Condo for a Good Cause and to Protect the Planet

  • Clothes, Bags, and Shoes that are overflowing in your condo can be donated to various foundations. If the clothes are in good condition, consider donating them to foundations like the Suan Kaew Foundation or the Nok Khamin Foundation. For old clothes that cannot be reused, including pet clothing, it is recommended to collect them for energy production with N15 Technology.
  • General Items (still usable), such as souvenirs and toys, can be collected and sent to the Pan Kan project by the Yuwapat Foundation, which serves as a revolving fund for social business.
  • Dolls, pillows, and blankets should be cleaned and donated to child welfare centers, such as the Mirror Foundation or the Nok Khamin Foundation.
  • Cosmetics can be donated for use in preparing deceased individuals' appearances to the Samut Sakhon Hospital Donation Center and the volunteer makeup artist page.
  • Food and supplies for pets, such as pet food, can be sent to the Animal Welfare Foundation and the Four-Legged Home for stray dogs. Pet toys, supplies, cages, and beds should also be donated to the Foundation for Dogs in the Alley.
