Mr. Chatchaya Kamjan, Director of Huai Khwang District, Bangkok stated that Bangkok is committed to waste management in urban areas and communities. We have the BANGKOK ZERO WASTE project, which aims to create a city that can effectively manage various types of waste. The Environment Office has a mission to manage waste in Bangkok, dividing operations into three phases: upstream, midstream, and downstream. Waste management at the upstream level involves promoting waste separation and instilling discipline in waste disposal among the public, encouraging participation from citizens and all sectors by designating waste disposal points on main roads, secondary roads, communities, and along canals, and installing signs detailing waste disposal days and collection times. The Journey to NET ZERO: Bangkok Zero Waste project by Central Pattana, which promotes waste separation from the source, aligns closely with Bangkok's policy to enhance waste management and change the lifestyle behaviors of Bangkok residents through Central shopping malls, office projects, and other real estate projects across Bangkok. We believe that if this project is expanded and implemented in other districts of Bangkok, it will significantly benefit the city.

Mr. Chanam Chuanich, CEO and Co-founder of Recycle Day Co., Ltd. expressed, “We are proud to be part of promoting the behavior of turning waste into useful resources easily. Recycle Day is a new startup that has collaborated with Central Pattana to launch the Recycle Station, the first model of its kind in Thailand, which is a Drive & Drop point with an application to track accumulated points. This model has become a success model that has been adopted by many other organizations. Currently, Recycle Day has partnered with Central shopping malls at four locations: Central Eastville, Central Sriracha, Central Ayutthaya, and most recently at g Garden Central Rama 9, where customers and employees bringing recyclable waste to Recycle will also receive money from selling it through proper sorting, along with The 1 points or various rewards.”
