"The Forestias project by MQDC has adopted the 'smart campus' concept to bring all lives closer to nature in a truly meaningful way," said Mr. Kittikhun Pothivanakul, Chief Technology Officer of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), at the Huawei APAC Digital Innovation Congress 2022 in Singapore.

The Forestias by MQDC is the world's first city-in-a-forest project designed to enhance happiness and quality of life for all living beings on Earth. The project spans a total area of 398 rai, located on Bangna-Trad Road, Km. 7.

In collaboration with global technology partner Huawei, the project integrates cloud systems and platforms into its operations, including transportation, energy, safety, facilities, and other systems, to develop a technological ecosystem. This will help The Forestias achieve its goal of harmoniously connecting people of all ages with nature.

"It is a challenging task within the context of time and budget, so we chose not to start everything from scratch but to collaborate with Huawei to continuously build and develop technology for a better customer experience," Mr. Kittikhun stated.

"With practical and continuously evolving technology systems to expand services and create positive experiences, the project can connect sensor networks to generate Big Data for analyzing the Intelligent Operation Center (IOC), which is a system capable of responding to events or situations in real-time."

The Forestias is a large mixed-use project that includes a shopping mall, health center, offices, restaurants, sports facilities, recreational centers, entertainment venues, and extensive green spaces covering over 56% of the entire project area.

Additionally, data from the project's surveillance cameras will be transformed into useful information for enhancing various experiences, allowing AI to analyze diverse consumer data such as age, gender, and ethnicity to design facilities that best meet needs, as well as analyze biodiversity and connect people with animals, nature, and over 30 rai of deep forest.

"Naturity is a platform that will use Big Data and AI to help us deeply understand the diversity of nature, including people, trees, and various plants," Mr. Kittikhun remarked.

"Moreover, the edutainment platform will allow people to get closer to nature and animals, fostering a warm community for all generations in line with The Forestias' commitment to creating a sustainable city of happiness."

Huawei's Smart Campus, which includes systems such as Big Data, AI, cloud computing, and blockchain, is a highly recognized concept that has been implemented in over 20 projects in China.

Furthermore, the smart campus at The Forestias will eliminate 'silos' to integrate data from all project components through the digital IOC platform.
