RT has secured the construction project for the dual-track railway from Denchai to Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong, Contract 1, valued at 2,281,256,591.42 Baht. Construction is expected to commence and revenue recognition to begin in 2022, supporting a backlog growth target of 8,500 million Baht.

Mr. Chawalit Thanomthin, CEO of Right Tunneling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in civil engineering and geotechnics, announced that the company has accepted the construction project for the dual-track railway from Denchai to Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong, specifically for the railway tunnel construction between Denchai and Ngao, valued at 2,281,256,591.42 Baht. The company will act as a subcontractor for the joint venture ITD-Naowarat.

“Taking on this project involves constructing a railway tunnel, which is a specialized task requiring the company's expertise and modern equipment. Currently, we are in the exploratory drilling phase and expect to start construction in the third quarter of 2022, with revenue recognition occurring gradually within this year,” Mr. Chawalit stated.

Additionally, the company continues to focus on bidding for both public and private sector projects to enhance revenue opportunities. This contract, along with anticipated future projects, will drive the company towards its backlog target of 8,500 million Baht for 2022. At the same time, the company is monitoring labor conditions and oil prices closely while planning strategic project management to ensure construction progress and timely delivery of projects.
