One Bangkok has partnered with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre to present the contemporary art exhibition 'Transforming City: One Bangkok Edition', reflecting the changes in Bangkok from the past, present, and future. The exhibition emphasizes the importance of harmonious coexistence among humans, the city, and nature, as well as humanity's commitment to adapting to urban changes sustainably. The artworks will be displayed at The Prelude One Bangkok from May 11 to August 31, 2022.

Mr. Worawart Srisaan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the One Bangkok Project, stated, "One Bangkok prioritizes the concept of sustainable urban development and continuously supports art and cultural initiatives while enhancing the quality of life for people and integrating fully into the community. We are pleased to collaborate with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre under our vision of supporting art and culture. This exhibition, 'Transforming City: One Bangkok Edition', features selected works from the 'Transforming City' exhibition held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre from December 2021 to April 2022, presented from a new perspective. We have chosen works from three creators that showcase the changes in Bangkok across various dimensions and contexts, from the past to the present and into the future, as well as the commitment to creating positive changes for this city. This aligns with One Bangkok's goal to enhance Bangkok's potential as a global destination for all lifestyles, developed with a focus on people, environmental sustainability, and smart city concepts for a perfect urban life in the future."

The exhibition 'Transforming City: One Bangkok Edition' aims to convey that although humans are just a part of the ecosystem, they—whether as individuals, groups, or communities—play a crucial role in creating positive changes in the city. This is illustrated through the works of three creators who explore the transforming city as follows:

• Fragile City / Glass Plate Photographs of Bangkok by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peerasri Powathong, a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, and an expert in the history of Thai architecture during the Rattanakosin period. He captures the changes in Bangkok through glass plate photographs, showcasing both complete and partially damaged images to present an imperfect city that is always changing, reflecting new possibilities in viewing Bangkok both realistically and ideally.

• Experience Documenting the Waterway Network in Bangkok and Surrounding Areas, 2021 by Vich Pimpakarnpong, an artist, designer, and founder of DuckUnit, who explores the current network of rivers and canals in Bangkok and its vicinity as infrastructure and a natural transportation network that once served as a major transportation route. This leads to an understanding of the overlooked nature and discovers new forms of travel on the city's existing infrastructure, representing another way of life both now and in the future.

"We recognize the changes occurring in the landscape of Bangkok and are ready to support and collaborate with all sectors to advance the city and are committed to leading Bangkok towards positive change. Additionally, we are prepared to collaborate with various art and cultural organizations to create a sustainable art community for Thailand. This exhibition will open a space for learning, allowing people to explore the changes in Bangkok across different dimensions through artistic perspectives, as well as drive participation in making Bangkok a better place sustainably in the future," Mr. Worawart added.

The exhibition 'Transforming City: One Bangkok Edition' is on display at The Prelude One Bangkok from May 11 to August 31, 2022. Visitors can also learn more about the exhibition through The Prelude mobile application.
