Additionally, it is designed to maximize space utilization with two stacked large halls, totaling over 45,000 square meters, enabling multiple events to be held simultaneously. QSNCC is the only convention center in Thailand with this level of capability, and it is also the only center located in the heart of Bangkok, directly connected to the MRT subway. In terms of technology and facilities, QSNCC has prepared infrastructure to support the highest internet speeds in Thailand, ready for the future (6G), effectively supporting online and hybrid event formats, with touchless access systems and an Intelligent Event Platform Management System for service control. Furthermore, it employs advanced security technology in accordance with international operational standards, ensuring Life Safety for all types of global events.
“With its new stance and role as The Ultimate Inspiring World Class Event Platform for All, the newly revamped Sirikit Center will be an Event Destination that attracts leading clients both domestically and internationally, contributing to the economic growth of Thailand,” Mr. Sakchai concluded.
The Sirikit Center is the first and only convention center in Thailand to achieve LEED Silver certification for green buildings, with development plans from inception to completion focusing on using over 25% environmentally friendly materials and more than 75% recyclable materials. The project includes the installation of solar panels and automated devices to reduce electricity and water consumption. Upon completion, this project will provide up to 78,500 square meters for meetings and exhibitions, including two large exhibition halls totaling over 45,000 square meters, two large seminar rooms of approximately 10,000 square meters, and over 50 breakout rooms. It will also feature parking for more than 2,700 vehicles, facilitating both organizers and participants. The newly revamped Sirikit Center is set to open in September 2022.
