"Circular PP" - Recycled Plastic Pellets from the Latest Advanced Recycling Technology by SCGC
SCG Chemicals (SCGC) has launched a high-quality recycled plastic pellet innovation called "Circular PP" produced from Recycled Feedstock under Advanced Recycling technology, one of the solutions from SCG Green Polymer. It possesses properties equivalent to new plastic pellets, making it suitable for environmentally friendly food packaging. SCGC has partnered with Visi Packaging to develop food packaging that has received the "ISCC PLUS" certification throughout the production chain, marking the first of its kind in ASEAN.

Mr. Thanawong Areeratchakul, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SCG Chemicals stated that "Circular PP" is produced from Recycled Feedstock, transforming hard-to-recycle used plastics into raw materials, which are then reprocessed into high-quality recycled plastic pellets with properties and quality comparable to new plastic pellets. This responds to the increasing demand in the Green Packaging market. Additionally, the Advanced Recycling process can help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and decrease greenhouse gas emissions from waste incineration.

On the other hand, Mr. Kran Techasen, Chief Operating Officer of High-Performance Materials and Polymer Packaging at SCG Packaging mentioned that Visi Packaging (Thailand) Co., Ltd., part of SCG Packaging, is a producer of high-quality food packaging materials certified with ISCC PLUS standards throughout the supply chain. The food packaging from Visi Packaging (Thailand) made from SCGC's Circular PP has been genuinely certified throughout the supply chain. Moreover, Visi Packaging's products also meet various global standards such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, and HACCP, ensuring consumers can trust both the production standards and the properties of Circular PP, which is similar to new plastic pellets, making it safe for food packaging. It has also passed quality tests and boasts an attractive appearance, contributing to environmental care and reducing global warming.
