BIG BLOC Partners with SCG International to Develop Lightweight Wall Panels Aiming to Enhance Construction Efficiency in the Indian Market
SCG International India Co., Ltd. (SCG INTL INDIA), in the cement and construction products business, has partnered with "Big Bloc Construction Limited" (BCL) from India to operate in the lightweight brick and lightweight wall panel sector. They are establishing a manufacturing plant with a project value of 410 million baht, with a total production capacity of approximately 2.6 million square meters (or about 250,000 cubic meters) in Gujarat, India, a region with high and continuously growing construction value.
The joint venture between SCG INTL INDIA and BCL is valued at 891 million Indian Rupees (approximately 410 million baht), with shareholding ratios of 48% and 52%, respectively. Following the signing of the joint venture agreement, it is expected that the construction of the plant will take about one year before it can commence commercial operations.
Big Bloc Construction Limited (BCL), established in 2015, is a publicly listed company on the Indian stock market and a leader in the construction industry in western India. Their lightweight bricks and wall panels are environmentally friendly construction materials that significantly enhance construction efficiency, as they reduce both time and costs.
