Mr. Sinith Leekrai, Deputy Minister of Commerce officially opened the IP Fair 2021 under the theme “Idea Market: Creating Opportunities, Building Businesses” to promote the use of intellectual property for generating income and enhancing the value of products and services. The event took place from September 15 to 19, 2021.

This year marks the first fully online event, hosted on www.thailandipfair.com. The platform is divided into various zones, including a knowledge market featuring intellectual property experts, an idea market for intellectual property, and a business matchmaking zone, along with live sales of geographical indication (GI) products by entrepreneurs. It is expected that the event will generate over 50 million baht in revenue and provide an additional avenue to enhance the trading and investment atmosphere in the country, with Mr. Wuttikrai Leewiraphan, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, welcoming attendees at the Burachat Chaiyakorn Room, Ministry of Commerce, recently.
