The Standard, a leader in the global hotel and hospitality industry, is committed to ongoing growth in its core market in Asia with the announcement of the latest The Standard hotel in Singapore, scheduled to open in 2023. This strengthens its position as the newest hotel in Southeast Asia, following The Standard Hua Hin and The Standard Bangkok, which are set to open soon in the last quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022, respectively.

Amar Lalvani, CEO of Standard International, stated, "Singapore is a country with a unique and valuable culture that embraces creativity and exceptional experiences, reflecting the identity of The Standard hotels perfectly. Singapore is a major innovation hub in Asia, and we are incredibly excited about the success of this latest hotel development announcement, as obtaining a new hotel license in Singapore is quite challenging and highly sought after. We are fortunate to partner with Invictus Developments to bring this project to life. Although global travel remains challenging at this time, The Standard is committed to developing landmark projects and expanding its growth worldwide to accommodate international travel in the future when circumstances return to normal."

The Standard Singapore will be a new gathering place featuring 143 rooms, located on Orange Grove Road, and is one of the few new hotels emerging in the vicinity of Singapore's premier shopping area, Orchard Road, which is filled with world-renowned and local brands, as well as a variety of dining and entertainment options.

The hotel's location is vibrant with activity from both local and international visitors and is conveniently close to the Singapore Botanic Gardens and the picturesque Nassim area, easily accessible by foot. Inside the hotel, there will be a unique restaurant that embodies The Standard's signature style, blending nightlife and cultural art seamlessly, along with an infinity pool and a poolside bar set amidst lush garden areas. The Standard Singapore supports Singapore's Green City policy and is committed to adding vibrancy to the city.

The hotel will be developed by Invictus Developments, a boutique real estate investment management company owned by Indonesian business family Bachtiar Karim and Chayadi Karim. Chayadi Karim, Chairman of Invictus Developments, expressed, "We are thrilled to bring The Standard brand to Singapore. The name The Standard is well-known for pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo, which clearly reflects our values. The innovative and unique approach of The Standard will bring a different and diverse experience to the hotel industry in Singapore."

The development of the new hotel in Singapore, along with upcoming hotels in Bangkok, Hua Hin, and Melbourne, stems from The Standard's commitment to establishing a reputation in the region with landmark projects in prime locations, collaborating with like-minded partners to create unique and unparalleled experiences in the style of The Standard.
