PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 16th Edition Confirmed for December 3rd
PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 16th Edition Confirmed for December 3rd introduces new award categories for outstanding developers in the "North-South" regions and excellent central area developments.
PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards collaborates with partners to announce the readiness for the annual awards ceremony on December 3rd, adding new awards for outstanding developers in the northern and southern regions as well as excellent central area developments. The aim is to elevate the standards of real estate in Thailand. Meanwhile, data from DDproperty.com indicates that the real estate market in Q2 2021 is a golden era for buyers, allowing them to shop for "quality properties at special prices," with property prices expected to remain stable until the end of the year.

According to DDproperty.com, residential property prices are expected to decline further this year due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the sluggish economy, which has affected consumer decision-making. Ms. Kamolpat Swaengkit, Managing Director of DDproperty Thailand, stated, "Most new projects launched in the first half of the year are horizontal developments targeting real demand buyers and investors with cash. Additionally, property prices are expected to remain stable until the end of 2021 or until the situation improves."
Ideal Investment Timing
The latest property market index report from DDproperty indicates that the second quarter of 2021 is considered an "attractive time" for investment for consumers and long-term investors in Thailand, due to low interest rates and declining property prices, especially for condominiums.
The property price index in Bangkok stood at 190 points in Q2 2021, down 4% from the previous quarter, marking the lowest index since Q2 2018. The declining index encompasses all types of residential properties, particularly condominiums, as consumers show more interest in purchasing horizontal properties with larger usable areas.
This index report aligns with the latest consumer confidence report from DDproperty, which states that over 50% of consumers prioritize the size of the property when considering a purchase or rental.
