Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Chairman and CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited said, “Sansiri Public Company Limited thanks the Chulabhorn Royal Academy for approving the allocation of 37,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine, which is an inactivated vaccine, to our company. This request for vaccine allocation is due to Sansiri's recognition of the importance of providing widespread vaccination as quickly as possible, ensuring that vaccines are accessible to all groups in society equally, including the underprivileged.”

Sansiri has established the vaccine allocation strategy “Sansiri and Society... Half for Each” to care for all Sansiri employees and their families while also giving back to society as much as possible. A total of 37,000 doses will be allocated to Sansiri employees and their families, with 18,000 doses or for 9,000 people, accounting for 50% of the total vaccine allocation. The remaining 19,000 doses will be provided to partners, allies, surrounding communities, and underprivileged individuals, totaling over 9,500 people, exceeding the minimum 10% donation requirement for society set by the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, to benefit society and help Thailand prepare for reopening in the fourth quarter effectively.

“Employees are a part of driving the organization. When everyone is fully engaged in their work and caring for over 100,000 customers, the organization is ready to ensure that all employees feel safe and secure in their work and lives. We also extend our care to employees' families and those living with them to alleviate their concerns about vaccine access for their families. Once all Sansiri employees across all projects, such as sales staff, housekeepers, security personnel, etc., are 100% vaccinated, it will significantly enhance the safety measures in all Sansiri projects,” Mr. Srettha added.

Additionally, the 19,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine allocated for society will be administered to partners, allies, communities, and underprivileged individuals. Sansiri will also allocate some vaccines to the surrounding community of Siri Campus, which is Sansiri's headquarters located at T77 Sukhumvit 77, including motorcycle taxi drivers, employees in Habito Mall, street vendors, and the underprivileged in the community, totaling over 2,000 individuals. This is because we recognize that these groups face challenges in accessing vaccines. Since Sansiri has established its office here, we want to ensure that the underprivileged and disadvantaged in this community have the opportunity to receive vaccines, not only for their safety but also to help make T77 one of the communities with the highest vaccination rates and the greatest safety from the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

The first Sinopharm vaccination will take place on June 30 at hospitals within the Bangkok Hospital Group (BDMS), with a continuous vaccination of 1,500 to 2,500 people daily, aiming for a total of 18,500 individuals to receive their first dose within the first week of July 2021 and to complete the two doses in the first week of August 2021. Sansiri will cover the costs of purchasing the vaccines and the expenses incurred for the vaccination process, totaling 40 million baht.

The allocation of 37,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine under the strategy “Sansiri and Society... Half for Each” is part of the ‘Sansiri Care... Because We Care’ initiative, which aims to create a sense of security and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak. Sansiri has continuously supported the four social pillars since the first quarter of 2020 to the present, including enhancing safety measures in projects, assisting SMEs that are Sansiri residents, establishing the Sansiri Care Relief Fund of 5 million baht raised from the personal contributions of senior executives to care for Sansiri employees and affiliated companies, purchasing COVID-19 insurance for all employees, and donating and supporting the Ministry of Public Health with a total value of over 20 million baht, such as donating ventilators and medical equipment, providing COVID-19 testing vehicles, constructing shower facilities for field hospitals, and donating 2 million baht to the Bang Sue Central Vaccination Center, among others.

“Vaccines are like armor that allows society to move forward. Today, we have the capacity to help employees, partners, and allies, as well as society, access vaccines more easily. We will do our best to be a cog in the machinery of Thailand to reduce the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks and prepare for the country’s reopening in the fourth quarter of this year,” Mr. Srettha concluded.
