Consumer behavior has changed since the Work from Home period, particularly in improving homes to suit new usage patterns, with bathrooms being the first area homeowners want to upgrade for cleanliness and hygiene suitable for everyone in the house.
“Smart & Hygiene Bathrooms” are a popular trend, with the overall market for Smart & Hygiene sanitary ware growing by 30%, and the smart toilet segment alone growing by 300%. Notably, the automatic smart toilet model Optimum from Cotto has seen a 90% growth, and this product category has grown nearly 200% through Omni-Channel sales.

The sales target for Smart Toilets is around 450 million baht from a total market value of 1 billion baht for Smart & Hygiene sanitary ware, with expectations for continuous growth of over 20% from 2020.
The market strategy this year will feature the campaign “Smart Toilet: The Innovation of Hygiene,” targeting the new generation. Cotto has launched the Cotto Smart Toilet at JJ Green, the first public restroom to offer touchless series sanitary ware, aiming to create a new user experience for new customers and increase familiarity, as well as installing products in residential and office projects to ensure widespread usage.
Currently, Cotto's Smart Toilet products hold a market share of about 40-45%, while most competitors in this sanitary ware segment are global brands such as TOTO and American Standard.
