Architect Expo '64 has announced the rescheduling of the event to June 22-27, 2021.

The event will also be revamped to incorporate technology in a Hybrid format to enhance its grandeur.

With concern for the health of participants, the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage, in collaboration with NCC Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. (NEO), has decided to postpone the Architect Expo '64 titled “Refocus Heritage” to June 22-27, 2021, at Impact Challenger Hall 1-3. This reaffirms the image of the largest exhibition of architectural innovations and construction materials in ASEAN, while leveraging technology to enhance the event's capabilities in a Hybrid format, expanding business through a Virtual Exhibition under the concept of an All-in-One Platform.

Mr. Chana Sumpalang, President of the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage, stated that, “The Architect Expo is the largest exhibition of architectural innovations and construction materials in ASEAN, held annually from April to May. However, due to the new wave of the pandemic, the organizing committee has decided to postpone the event once again, prioritizing the safety of participants while ensuring confidence in the event's organization under strict cleanliness measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

Dr. Vasu Posayanant, Chairman of the Architect Expo '64, mentioned that, “The Architect Expo '64 will still follow the original concept: Refocus Heritage, aiming to present stories of architectural heritage from the past, building conservation, and maintaining values to pass on to future generations. The conservation of architecture has always been a mission of the Association of Siamese Architects. The concept of ‘Refocus Heritage’ aligns with the changing trends brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led many to spend more time at home, work from home, and improve their living spaces or adapt their business models to fit the new lifestyle. The event will feature a comprehensive range of construction material exhibitors and showcase new architectural technologies that meet the needs of architects, designers, and the general public.”

This year, the Association of Siamese Architects has curated thematic exhibitions covering over 6,000 square meters, allowing attendees to experience technology integrated into architectural exhibitions in engaging formats. The event will support hybrid attendance, including online exhibitions addressing heritage issues, presenting hot topics in social media such as the demolition of historical sites and the restoration of temples without proper understanding. This aims to invite the public and those responsible for the country's public assets to ask questions and seek answers on pressing societal issues, gaining accurate information from experts and stakeholders. The exhibition will also feature the Outstanding Architecture Awards for 2021, showcasing the best new building designs selected by the Association of Siamese Architects, and the Architectural Conservation Awards, which this year have elevated the judging standards to align with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards. Additionally, there will be international seminars, the ASA Forum, utilizing Hybrid Conference technology to ensure that those interested in architecture can still gain knowledge from world-class speakers and engage in discussions as in previous years. For architects, the ASA Club will continue to provide a space for members of the Association of Siamese Architects, along with the ASA Shop and Book Club, which will present carefully selected architectural books that are hard to find in regular bookstores, along with activities for launching new books at the event.”

Mr. Sakchai Patthaprichakul, Managing Director of NCC Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. (NEO), added that, “At NEO, we are committed to elevating Architect Expo '64 to an international level. This year, we have received participation from over 800 companies worldwide from countries such as South Korea, China, Japan, Denmark, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany, the United States, Singapore, Italy, and Hungary, along with global brands like CRISTINA, DELTA, EPSON, GRUNDFOS, HAFELE, JORAKAY, KOLHER, LIXIL, L&E, MAZUMA, PRUSSIA, SHERA, WDC, WILSONART, and many more.”

The special feature of this year's Architect Expo is the Hybrid Exhibition format to accommodate participation from around the world. NEO has enhanced the exhibition with Virtual Exhibition innovations under the All-in-One Platform concept, integrating all activities into a single channel, including a Virtual Platform connecting exhibitors, buyers, and business partners globally in the architecture and construction sectors through a virtual platform. Online Pre-Registration allows for advance online registration to reduce waiting times for entry, including an Online Business Matching system suitable for participants interested in connecting with businesses conveniently through online matchmaking. There will also be Inno-Talks seminars for those wanting to update on innovations in architecture and construction from relevant experts (Innovative Construction Materials) through 17 main topics over six days, with highlights including the Wuhan Hospital Showcase, the world's first exhibition of a temporary hospital model, “Huoshenshan,” designed to accommodate over 1,000 COVID-19 patients, completed within nine days.

Architect Expo '64 is also supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB under the campaign “ASEAN+6 Privilege Campaign,” adjusting the support format for potential buyers from abroad to engage in business negotiations with exhibitors in a hybrid format. Another campaign, “Exhibiz in Market Campaign,” aims to motivate trade associations and related agencies for exhibition space in Thailand.

For Architect Expo '64, under the concept “Refocus Heritage,” taking place from June 22-27, 2021, at Impact Challenger Hall 1-3, it will be grandly held over a total area of 75,000 square meters, serving as a connection between architects and operators in the construction industry to grow together.”
