"Melamine Sink": A New Dimension in Sanitary Ware - Collaboration Between MOGEN and Srithai Superware Focused on Beautiful, Eco-friendly Design
"Melamine Sink" represents a new dimension in the sanitary ware industry as MOGEN (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading company in the sanitary ware market and a market leader in bathroom furniture, launches a product made from the latest innovation in the industry to create a unique selling point compared to traditional ceramic materials.

Mr. Pongthorn Wanichpongpan, Managing Director of MOGEN (Thailand) Co., Ltd. stated that the collaboration aims to develop eco-friendly sanitary ware products by incorporating melamine as a key component in production instead of traditional ceramics.
This collaboration between MOGEN and SRITHAI has resulted in a Bathroom Series comprising three groups of bathrooms.

Twinkle Happy Kids is a children's bathroom series that emphasizes the use of bright, cute colors along with a countertop sink design that attracts children's attention, making bathroom visits more fun.

Cool Gen is a bathroom series for young adults, focusing on modern, simple designs with natural style colors that mimic the texture of cement. It offers more eco-friendliness due to the use of upcycled melamine as the main material, combined with functional designs that enhance convenience during busy bathroom moments.

Elder Cushy is a bathroom series designed for the elderly. In this series, MOGEN incorporates natural fibers into the melamine, making the bathroom furniture and sinks significantly lighter than traditional ceramics, reducing the risk of accidents and breakage. The design follows universal design principles, ensuring comfort and safety for elderly users. The choice of earth tone colors provides a calming and warm atmosphere, suitable for seniors.

Dr. Karan Angubolkul, Managing Director of Srithai Superware Korat Co., Ltd. revealed that they see the potential for melamine products to be more than just tableware, leading to the innovation of melamine sanitary ware for bathroom furniture, a collaboration between Srithai and MOGEN, a leader in innovation.
The innovation of melamine sinks and water tank lids, which is the first of its kind in Thailand and the world, is showcased for the first time at this event. The melamine material possesses numerous unique characteristics. The MELA GOOD PLUS melamine sanitary ware incorporates seven key properties that enhance the product's value:
1) It can be produced in various beautiful colors and patterns.
2) The products can be made thinner, appearing more modern and lightweight, yet
3) they are strong and impact-resistant.
4) In terms of hygiene, melamine is inherently antibacterial, resisting both mold and bacteria. These four points highlight the advantages of melamine sanitary ware over traditional ceramics.
5) It is resistant to high temperatures (allowing the melamine sink to be used with hot water).
6) Cleaning is easy, requiring only a soft sponge and standard cleaning products. Lastly,
7) it is eco-friendly. Melamine sanitary ware can be classified as an eco-friendly product because it can be recycled into new products through upcycling, maintaining its beautiful qualities and original properties. Additionally, it can incorporate leftover natural materials, such as bagasse showcased at this event, or other natural waste materials like rice husks, coconut fibers, and bamboo pulp.
This innovation of melamine sinks and water tank lids represents a significant advancement and transformation in the production of bathroom sanitary ware in the country, catering to property developers who can easily obtain products with beautiful colors and patterns that align with their project concepts, as MOGEN focuses on developing designs according to project specifications.
MOGEN expects that these products will account for 35% of projected sales next year. Currently, MOGEN has developed over 50 Bathroom Series products and has partnered with leading real estate companies in the country, utilizing MOGEN products in over 3,000 projects over the past 18 years.
We are confident that melamine sanitary ware will meet consumer demands and serve as a new alternative material for project owners, architects, and the general public, effectively replacing ceramic products.
