InterContinental Residences Hua Hin Invites You to Relive the Past with the Breeze of Time
Proud Real Estate has launched the event of the year, Breeze of Time, to reminisce about the beautiful past of Hua Hin, Thailand's renowned seaside resort, featuring colonial architecture. The design of the InterContinental Residences Hua Hin retains the classic charm while blending it with contemporary elements, offering a luxury experience that caters to every lifestyle. Customers are invited to join the event every weekend and during the long holidays from October 10 to November 1.
Ms. Prawpood Lipthapallop, Executive Director of Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited, stated that to welcome tourists and those looking for accommodation in Hua Hin, the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, a luxury condominium under the InterContinental Hotel Group brand, is preparing the annual event Breeze of Time to take everyone back in time to experience the inspiration derived from the history of “Hua Hin,” a century-old seaside resort that has long been a favorite among Thais, dating back to the era of nobles. With its beautiful beaches and tranquil atmosphere, lined with century-old vacation homes passed down through generations, attendees will be able to reflect on the beautiful past of Hua Hin while experiencing the breeze that has symbolized this seaside town throughout the ages. Additionally, Ms. Prawpood revealed that the creation of InterContinental Residences aims to continue the legacy of Hua Hin.
By developing a vacation home model like never before, in collaboration with the InterContinental Hotel Group, a world-class luxury hotel brand, to provide superior living experiences. “This land is the most beautiful plot left in Hua Hin, akin to receiving a valuable inheritance, so we intend to create something that can be a legacy for future generations.” In selecting the team to design the project, they chose those who understand the charm of Hua Hin. Soda (Thailand) Co., Ltd. oversees architectural design, P Interior and Associates (PIA) handles interior design, and P Landscape Co., Ltd. manages landscape architecture, presenting a concept of Colonial with a modern twist, drawing inspiration from the elegant homes of the wealthy from that era while maintaining privacy suitable for vacationing, blended with contemporary elements and world-class service. They also emphasize family living, designing accommodations to meet the needs of every family.
Especially the 1-bedroom unit of 45 square meters, which is considered large compared to projects in Bangkok, sufficient for a nuclear family. Coupled with the project's prime location right on the beach in the city center, surrounded by complete amenities, and an affordable price of 7.89 million baht, making it an easy decision for customers.

Mr. Stephen O'Dell, Director of Soda (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that the design of this project is inspired by the history of Hua Hin. If you look at the old houses, you will see that they have high underbellies and open balconies to catch the wind and light, but with wooden slats or louvres to block the sun and maintain privacy. Another special feature is the U-shaped Master Plan to fully capture the sea breeze and views, with 80% of the project having sea view rooms. The design of the residential units features a single corridor layout, enhancing privacy for residents, ensuring that each room has non-overlapping balconies for maximum privacy while enjoying the view. Even the outer corner rooms, considered the project's 'starter' units, have special features such as double-glazed windows that can turn both the living room and bedroom into a large balcony, allowing residents to fully utilize the space while enjoying sea views, showcasing the meticulous design that gives each room its unique charm.
Ms. Phresathorn Sukulthai, Design Director at P Interior and Associates (PIA), mentioned that the design of the accommodations considers Hua Hin's architecture, ensuring full functionality while retaining the essence of Hua Hin's past. The design emphasizes comfort, luxury, and functionality that meets the needs of all lifestyles, from small to large families. Each room size is designed for practical use, especially the 45-square-meter one-bedroom unit, which is luxurious at an affordable price, complete with sea views. The design features a seamless connection between the living area and bedroom using large sliding doors, creating a spacious living room that allows fresh air without needing to turn on the air conditioning. For furniture selection, synthetic rattan is used instead of real rattan for durability and ease of maintenance. The balcony is spacious, allowing users to enjoy outdoor space and the sea breeze while maintaining privacy, with large sliding doors connecting the balcony to the living room. Another special design feature is the Gameroom and library, inspired by the drawing rooms of the past but adapted to the new normal, providing spaces suitable for gatherings, meetings, or family time. Additionally, the Beach Pavilion is designed for hosting guests or events, or for relaxation, reading, and a wine & coffee bar area that accommodates both air conditioning and natural breezes.
Ms. Arun Arunmekhin, Junior Design Associate from P Landscape Co., Ltd., stated that the design incorporates the concept of outdoor living, blending it with the lifestyle of the past, where gardens are not just gardens but essential parts of life. This project is significant for being able to live close to water, whether it's the sea or a pool, divided into five zones:
1. Water Court, which serves as a first arrival area, providing tranquility that contrasts with the project's exterior, complete with seating under the shade of trees, equipped with USB and charging stations to serve as an outdoor office.
2. Hidden Chambers, a private island with a Hidden Gym (underwater gym) and Hidden Courtyard for perfect relaxation every day.
3. Celebration of Water, or Pools for all generations, featuring over 2,000 square meters of water space with seven pools, including a family activity pool, children's pool, relaxation pool with swim jets, and a hydraulic pool supporting multigenerational living.
4. Heritage Tree, where this zone features a Tamarind theater and preserves three 80-year-old tamarind trees as the heart of the project.
5. Breeze of the East, a relaxation area to catch the sea breeze, including a beachfront pool with a clear edge and a beachside jacuzzi, along with a private beach.
Ms. Prawpood concluded by saying that the event “Breeze of Time” is an activity that will take us back to the past together, along with various locations to experience tangible history through a tour of ancient houses, one of which is the land where the Sales Gallery of the InterContinental Residences Hua Hin and 111 Social Club is located, which is also part of this historical narrative. Everyone will experience royal Thai canapés from Chef Mamadu, Executive Chef of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, combined with local Hua Hin delicacies such as Takoh and dried mango from Mae Kep, sticky rice from Pa Jue, and Ba-Bin from Mae Nong Nuch, paired with fine teas from TWG Tea, with a Tea Master providing guidance on pairing tea with Thai desserts to enhance the afternoon snack experience. Experience the essence of Hua Hin's past with a Kinetic Installation reflecting the tales of the sea breeze, once known as a healing wind, and enjoy contemporary swing music along with workshops for seaside painting and much more.
Those interested can come and experience the healing seaside breeze or view the sample rooms of the project at Soi Hua Hin 71 from October 10 to November 1, every weekend and during long holidays, or visit for more details at www.intercontinentalresidenceshuahin.com or call 02-026-8999 or Line@ Proudrealestate.
