LINE MAN Merges with Wongnai to Become the Strongest 'Number One Assistant' for Thais
Secures an Investment of Over 3.3 Billion Baht from BRV Capital Management
LINE MAN "the Number One Assistant" and a leading delivery application provider in Thailand, announced that it has reached an investment agreement worth 110 million USD (approximately 3.3 billion Baht) from BRV Capital Management (BRV). This marks the first funding for a promising business within LINE Group's international portfolio, reflecting LINE MAN's success in Thailand and its readiness to foster future business growth.
This investment from BRV leads to the merger with Wongnai Media Co., Ltd., or Wongnai, a leading restaurant review and search platform in Thailand, which has been a partner with LINE MAN since 2016. Currently, Wongnai has over 10 million monthly users and boasts the largest restaurant database in Thailand with over 400,000 establishments nationwide, allowing LINE MAN users to order food from restaurants listed in Wongnai's database.
This investment aims to strengthen the newly merged company and enhance development during a period of continuous growth in the Thai market. LINE MAN, a leading delivery service provider, offers an on-demand 'Number One Assistant' concept and professional services to users 24/7 through six services: food delivery, supermarket shopping, messenger services, parcel delivery, taxi calling, and convenience store shopping. Currently, it partners with over 100,000 restaurants across Bangkok and several provinces, including Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chonburi - Pattaya, and Chiang Mai, with plans to expand its service area to cover 15 provinces in Thailand by the end of this year.

"We are pleased to partner with BRV, a venture capital firm with extensive experience and expertise in seeking investments in potential and industry-leading businesses," Eunjeong Lee, Head of Global Business Management (Southeast Asia) at LINE Plus Corporation, stated. "Since its launch four years ago, LINE MAN has grown to become a popular delivery application for Thais, and this investment from BRV will help propel LINE MAN to the next level."
BRV is a growth capital firm that has previously invested in PayPal and Waze. With local offices in South Korea, Japan, and China, and experience investing in businesses in Silicon Valley and globally, BRV's decision to invest in LINE MAN is significantly driven by its continuous success in delivering innovative services for the Thai market, establishing it as the number one assistant for users.
