PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards celebrates its 15th anniversary with Hitachi Elevator and Escalator as the main sponsor
and has added new award categories to respond to the development and changes in the Thai real estate market today. PropertyGuru, a leading real estate technology company in Southeast Asia, celebrates this significant milestone by opening nominations from the public to honor companies that demonstrate leadership qualities in various sectors of the real estate industry both within and outside of Bangkok.

Public nominations are open from today until Friday, July 24, 2020, ahead of the official gala dinner on September 18, 2020. Applications can be submitted online at: https://www.asiapropertyawards.com/nominations/

In addition to the Best Developer and Best Boutique Developer categories, which have been awarded for many years, this year's event also introduces new award categories to recognize companies with outstanding operations in various fields, including: Best Sustainability Developer, Best Breakthrough Developer, Best Lifestyle Developer, Best Commercial Developer, Best Hospitality Developer, Best Industrial Developer, and Best Mixed Use Developer

This year's awards ceremony will also present several special recognition awards for developers who exemplify excellence in sustainability, impact on social change, and governance. Companies must submit details of their business activities to be considered for the Special Recognition in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), Special Recognition in Sustainability Design, Special Recognition in Sustainability Construction and Special Recognition for Community Projects which will be selected by the Right To Play Foundation, the official charity partner of the Asia Property Awards.

Additionally, there will be two special awards: Best Transit Oriented Development to honor projects that connect with Thailand's new transportation infrastructure, and Best Smart City Block to recognize self-sustaining communities that promote smart economic systems and intelligent transportation, as well as new regional award categories to honor outstanding projects in Chiang Mai, Khao Yai, and various provinces in the southern and northeastern regions.

BDO, one of the largest audit and accounting firms in the world, will oversee the judging process of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards to ensure it is conducted ethically, fairly, transparently, and reliably. BDO Thailand is led by Paul Ashburn, Joint Managing Director, Angelina Harnick, Audit Manager, and Goh Meng Indrihapsari, Assistant Audit Manager, who will strictly control the independent judging process.

The PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards was first held in 2005 and is the longest-running and most prestigious awards event in Thailand, with growth and increasing prominence each year. The number of public nominations has reached up to 1,500, and there are typically between 175-300 applicants each year.

Previously, the 10th gala dinner in 2015 was held at the Bangkok Hotel (Royal Meridien Hotel) and continued to be the venue until 2019. This year, it will again be held at the newly named hotel, The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.
