The Architect Expo '63 has adjusted its plans and will now take place from July 7-12. The organizers are preparing additional safety measures for attendees and exhibitors.

Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage, the organizer of Architect Expo '63, has decided to postpone the event to July 7-12, 2020, at Challenger Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani. Comprehensive measures to prevent the spread of the virus have been put in place to ensure the safety and confidence of exhibitors and attendees.

Mr. Atchaphol Dusitnanont, President of the Association of Siamese Architects, commented on the situation: "The Architect Expo is the largest exhibition of architectural innovations and construction materials in ASEAN, held annually between April and May. Given the widespread impact of COVID-19, the organizing committee has prioritized the safety of exhibitors, attendees, and all involved. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the event to July 7-12. This decision was made after careful consideration, keeping in mind the best interests of all parties. We have also prepared health measures to ensure everyone's safety."

Dr. Wasu Posayanant, Chairman of Architect Expo '63, stated: "For this year's expo, we aim to present the theme 'Refocus Heritage,' which encourages a new perspective on viewing and preserving architectural heritage. This situation with the virus serves as a reminder that adaptability and a change in mindset are essential for survival. We hope that the postponement will enhance confidence among exhibitors and attendees, allowing everyone to enjoy the expo and explore innovations and exhibitions with peace of mind."

Mr. Sakchai Phatprichakul, Managing Director of N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. (Neo), the organizer of Architect Expo '63, said: "The expo is a crucial platform for the architecture and construction industry, held only once a year to meet the business needs of operators wanting to showcase technology and innovations. We expect over 700 companies from Thailand and abroad to participate. We have received positive responses from leading companies in architecture, construction, interior design, and real estate, particularly from CLMV countries that are developing numerous construction projects."

Mr. Sakchai continued: "As we know, exhibitions are vital for fostering collaboration within the industry, supporting the economy, and driving sustainable growth. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is committed to enhancing the standards of Thailand's exhibition industry to international levels through campaigns like 'Exhibiz in Market' and 'ASEAN+6 Privilege Campaign,' which support expenses for international attendees."

With the utmost concern for the safety and health of all participants, the organizing committee has collaborated with Impact Muang Thong Thani to implement disease prevention measures under the security management system for conferences and exhibitions (TIS 22300) to ensure the confidence of all attendees. The measures include:

1. Providing hand sanitizers at the main entrance, meeting rooms, and restrooms for cleaning purposes.

2. Installing thermal scanners at the main entrance and event area to screen body temperatures and identify individuals who may need monitoring.

3. Preparing thermal guns for temperature screening, with color-coded stickers each day to ensure all attendees have been screened.

4. Setting up a first aid room with medical staff on duty for patient screening.

5. Coordinating with medical teams from Bamrasnaradura Institute for support.

6. Creating informative materials about pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus and requesting cooperation from attendees to follow preventive guidelines.

7. Increasing the frequency of cleaning the venue, food service areas, restrooms, and other locations with disinfectants daily, including spraying disinfectants in exhibition areas before and after the event.

8. Providing designated bins for disposing of face masks properly.
