Krung Thai Bank is backing the "Good House, Good Down Payment" project by launching a campaign for its home loan product, offering a first-year interest rate of 0.50% per annum or an average of just 2.50% over three years. Additionally, the bank waives appraisal fees and loan application fees. The first 1,000 approved customers will receive an extra subsidy of 5,500 baht, while customers ranked 1,001 to 10,000 will enjoy a further reduction of 0.10% in the first-year interest rate.

Mr. Payong Srivanich, the President of Krung Thai Bank, revealed that following the Cabinet's resolution on November 26, 2019, which introduced measures to alleviate the burden of home purchases under the "Good House, Good Down Payment" initiative, the government supports individuals in acquiring their own homes by providing a down payment subsidy of 50,000 baht for those with an annual income not exceeding 1,200,000 baht, benefiting 100,000 individuals.

Krung Thai Bank fully supports this initiative and has launched the "Krung Thai Home Loan... Happiness for Everyone" campaign with a special two-part promotion. The first part offers a first-year interest rate starting at 0.50% per annum or an average of just 2.50% over three years, with the bank waiving appraisal and application fees.

Furthermore, customers purchasing properties in designated projects, particularly those in specific professions such as doctors, judges, prosecutors, pilots, university lecturers at the assistant professor level and above, and employees of the Bank of Thailand, can opt for a repayment plan of 1,000 baht per million baht per month in the first year.

The second part of the promotion offers the first 1,000 customers approved for loans and mortgages under the "Good House, Good Down Payment" conditions an additional subsidy of 5,500 baht. Customers ranked 1,001 to 10,000 will benefit from a further reduction of 0.10% in the first-year interest rate. Interested customers can register for benefits on the "Good House, Good Down Payment" website starting from December 11, 2019.

Additionally, those purchasing properties priced up to 3 million baht and securing a mortgage by December 24, 2020, will enjoy a reduction in transfer fees from 2% to 0.01% and mortgage fees from 1% to 0.01%, as per the Cabinet's resolution, which aims to enhance opportunities for citizens to own homes, improve quality of life, and strengthen family stability.
