"Origin" is moving forward with plans to accommodate an investment of 1.5 trillion baht in the EEC, aiming to develop a mega mixed-use project worth tens of billions, "Origin Smart City Rayong," in the heart of the New CBD of Rayong on over 25 rai of land. Mr. Pirapong Jarunek, CEO of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), a comprehensive real estate developer, revealed that the framework for investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) by both the government and private sectors over the past five years (2017-2021) has led to continuous growth in the three provinces of the EEC: Rayong, Chonburi, and Chachoengsao. Rayong is a province with significant potential and stands out in the EEC, currently housing over 1 million residents, with a high average income per capita, ranking among the top in the country. Employees relocating from Bangkok earn an average starting salary of around 50,000 baht. Overall, the province has a large consumer base with high purchasing power. Continuous investments related to the EEC will further increase the demand for quality housing and lifestyle amenities in the area.
Mr. Pirapong further stated that to support investment and enhance growth potential, the company has acquired several plots of land at the "Nern Samli Intersection" in Rayong, adjacent to Sukhumvit Road, which is considered the "golden zone" of Rayong. These plots have been consolidated into a single piece of land over 24 rai, making it the largest private land parcel in the province, aimed at developing the area into a New CBD, a smart city, and a comprehensive lifestyle hub, featuring the tallest condominium in Rayong, community malls, hotels, serviced apartments, and serviced offices, under the project name "Origin Smart City Rayong," which is expected to have a total project value of no less than 10 billion baht, building on the company's Blue Ocean strategy that focuses on investing in high-potential locations with relatively low competition.

The company is currently in the process of finalizing the roadmap for the development of Origin Smart City Rayong, with plans to complete and reveal the first phase development plan in September.
