Here are 6 reasons to enhance consumers' opportunities to purchase housing at the 41st Housing and Condo Fair,Churachart Chakarakul” reveals that the overall business has passed its lowest point and is confident that the market will rebound in the remaining months of the year.

Mr. Churachart Chakarakul, Deputy Secretary-General of the Housing Business Association, announced as the chairman of the 41st Housing and Condo Fair that it is the largest housing exhibition in Thailand. This year, it will be held from September 12-15, 2019, at Royal Paragon Hall, 5th floor, Siam Paragon Shopping Center. The event is organized by the Housing Business Association, the Thai Condominium Association, and the Thai Real Estate Association to promote marketing activities for members of all three associations related to real estate. Meanwhile, consumers will also gain benefits and receive confidence as well. The reasons are as follows:

  • Projects participating in the exhibition have allocation licenses and construction permits, selected to a certain level by the organizing associations.
  • Special promotional prices from real estate developers participating in the exhibition, covering a variety of price ranges.
  • Those who book housing at the event will have the chance to win many prizes.
  • This housing fair caters to all genders and ages, even Gen Z who are just starting their careers (First Jobbers) with an income of around 20,000 - 30,000 Baht per month.
  • Increased opportunities to choose and compare value-for-money from over 100 companies and more than 1,000 projects in prime locations in Bangkok, its suburbs, and other provinces.
  • Special loan services from leading financial institutions participating in the 41st Housing and Condo Fair.

Additionally, Mr. Churachart stated that although the overall domestic economy is slowing down and affecting the real sector business like real estate, he is confident that purchasing power still exists. This is reflected in data from surveys conducted with consumers who attended and sought information at the 40th Housing and Condo Fair held last March, which showed that demand remains high, with nearly 25% wanting to buy within 1-2 years, 16.37% wanting to buy within 6-12 months, and 15.57% within 1-3 months. Most buyers are looking for homes priced under 5 million Baht, with 30.73% wanting properties in the 2-3 million Baht range, 23.99% in the 1-2 million Baht range, and 18.31% in the 3-4 million Baht range, while only 5.07% are interested in properties priced below 1 million Baht.

Furthermore, there is another important reason to believe that the 41st Housing and Condo Fair will be successful and attract consumers genuinely looking to buy for residence. This is because over 60% of attendees at the previous fair were first-time visitors, and about 38.99% had attended at least once before. This clearly demonstrates that the housing fair organized by the three real estate associations is a gathering point for housing options that increases opportunities for consumers who are prepared or planning to purchase housing to shop and compare more effectively.

It is acknowledged that the overall real estate market in the first 6 months of the year has slowed down, and it is believed that we have passed the lowest point of the business. In the second half of the year, the market is expected to pick up as consumers still have the desire to buy housing. Additionally, it is anticipated that the new government will introduce measures to stimulate the economy, which will further boost confidence. Mr. Churachart concluded.
